I also enjoy being in the Championship, it's our true level where we can compete with some expectation of winning more than we lose.

Had the new manager bounce last night and won 3:0

A good win Moby 👍

I also prefer the EFL, mainly because it is actually a competition.
Each season starts with numerous clubs in contention and numerous clubs potentially being relegated.
When the parachute payments are dropped, it will be even better because that totally distorts the division.
The proposal is that what is currently given to three clubs will be distributed throughout the divisions.
Can only be good for football in general.

But that is purely peanuts, there needs to be a limit on the PL TV revenue, and spread more out to the EFL.

Won't this new government football work force thing do just that? Can't remember what's that's all about but it sounded very fair. Spread the wealth for the benefit of all our football clubs, what's not to like.

The bottom three are edging ever closer to Palace, where can they hope to pick up any more points?

I’d reckon that when his contract is up for renewal, we’ll see new presenters on motd.
Probably replaced by someone who is currently supporting him.
Last season, Jeff Stelling on Sky said he was finishing at the end of the season in solitary with sacked colleagues.
Guess what?
He’s still there.

I hope when his contract is up they have a full revamp of the programme with less time spent on analysis and more time actually spent on the highlights.
There are plenty of commentators on 5live who could do the job at a fraction of what they are currently paying.

I suspect that it's the PL contract with the BBC that puts a time limit on the amount of live action that is shown. Of course quite a bit of that is used so the pundits can give their expert opinions on the game we have just seen, so if they cut down on the pundits then maybe the highlights could be longer?

a) I cannot abide Jeff Sterling

b) If anybody replaces GL the BBC will probably have to pay a similar sum to the newcomer.

c) I have no issues with the present team but I like Dan Walker, also Troy Deeney of course ;)

If these "pundits" are so good and know so much why are they not managing teams instead of pontificating and stating the obvious?

Quite a few of them have.

Crystal Palace have sacked Patrixk Viera, they obviously prefer to follow the Watford system rather than stick with a good young manager with potential. I don't think either of the current front runners, Jesse Marsh or Ralph Hasselhut, are anywhere near as good as Viera.

Perhaps Gary Lineker could do it? The world's leading football expert and knows where to get some overseas signings cheap.

I must admit that I’m a bit surprised by that decision.
He’s had a terrible run of results but does anyone think that any of the out of work (for a reason) managers will turn it around in such a short space of time?
They probably would have stayed up anyway.
Palace are not in the three worst teams.

Viera himself said the players had the wrong mindset ... only a new manager can change that.

Some clubs have had about six managers in the time Viera has been at the Palace.

For me it's a disappointing decision but knowing what I know then Steve Parish will do anything to keep us in the Premier League and all the money that brings. I'd have Brendan Rogers in a heart beat, some people don't realise how lucky they are.

So it is what it is, we move on, a new era to enjoy and all that might bring.

It's easy to keep sacking the manager, but if the team does not improve on the field maybe the problem really is the team.

If you like boring, turgid football played around the back four, slow build up in attack, substitutions which make the team worse, poor and expensive recruitment, a demotivated team, strange team selections etc then you would be delighted with him.
He seems to be a manager who does well for a couple of seasons in the new team but then he runs out of ideas. it happened at Liverpool, then at Celtic and now with us. But if you can have a quiet word with Steve Parish it would be appreciated.
I'd be disappointed to be relegated largely because I'm not so sure I'd any longer be able to get a live stream but the disappointment would be temporary. There is all to play for in the Championship which makes it very competitive without the big 6 whose vast wealth skews the whole system. And we wouldn't have to put up with Lineker & Co pontificating every Saturday night.

I don't recognize that description of Leicester. They have some brilliant attacking players. Slow build up knocking the ball around the back four just about sums up most teams in the Premier League. Liverpool for example are the kings of backwards and sideways football. As for poor substitutions then that speaks volumes for the depth of the squad, nothing to do with the manager as I suspect Rodgers has little say in transfers like at most clubs these days.

I think Leicester's problems this season are financial. Perhaps the owners money is running out.

Not being funny but if Roy Hodgson is the answer, then we’ve seriously got to ask what the question is.
I was totally surprised to read that he’s only 75.
I would have suspected much older.
