Today is the last day for your Christmas decorations. They should be down by now.

Bensham, so kind of you to acknowledge the fact.
Now pop along and see if it's dark and leave the lead to me.

My advice is to wear your gloves to get in it and to drive it back home from the little garage

They sent a video showing how they sanitise car etc but rest assured I am a bit OCD when around other people!!! I wiped the steering wheel gear kn*b handles etc before driving away. When I got home another wash - hands - door handles I touched on the way into house - I’m getting on my own nerves now

You simply cannot be ' a bit OCD ' with this stuff.

I recently lost a good friend of 50 years as a direct consequence of Covid. His wife believes he came into contact with the virus following an MOT on his car. She may not be correct of course but there are many surfaces where the virus could reside for four to seven days. We and other chums make arrangements for a collection service if any of our cars need to go to a garage.

I am so sorry about your friend - that is simply awful particularly as I am sure they were so careful. I am still washing all my shopping and do not handle the outside of the newspaper (the inside is folded by machine apparently - don't laugh but I take it from the letterbox with tongs !!!) told you I'm OCD!

I live in absolute dread of getting the virus and cannot wait for the vaccination but believe even when I have had it I shall still be very wary for a long time.

Take care

I begin to worry that my laziness may be putting us both at some risk of getting covid. I just cannot be bothered to wash or wipe down our shopping after Sainsburys delivers it, and I would never dream of taking extra care handling the paper. I do wear a mask where I should, and use the hand sanitizer in shoes where its provided, and wash my hands thoroughly if I have been out shopping. But going out to any shop has reduced significantly in the few months, a couple of trips to the post office for overseas Xmas cards, a haircut or two, an odd foray into our local Sainsburys for forgotten essentials, and a visit or two to the ATM. Life under covid does not get any more exciting than that.

They were very careful and rarely went out but it seems he was just unlucky.

After our Sainsbugs delivery on Tuesdays we remove all the wrappers from the consumables ( while wearing latex gloves ) and then put it away into the refrigeration department. Then all the packets, tins and bottles etc go into a (no)guests bedroom until the weekend.

I take our paper from the letter box while wearing the thick gloves I use for the log burner even though there is no need as the virus cannot attach to paper ... allegedly :relaxed:

I think we will all be wary for while and probably until after we've had the second jab.

Stay safe

I wear my mask whenever I go out, even in the open and I'm constantly washing my hands and use sanitiser whenever I see a dispenser, but I don't do any of the other stuff dome of you have said.
