OBF - Only live 1 mile from Mecca (EBB Stadium previously The Rec!) so dont usually partake of refreshments.

However, we recently started selling some pies from the West Country which I'm told are fantastic and worth the money. Also the hospitality package, including lunch is good.

Difficulty is attracting the next generation of fans, especially when family money is tight. Its cheaper to watch Premiership matches on tele, even taking account of Sky Sports 1 & 2 charges. Obviously not as atmosperic as watching your local team!

I've only been to a handful of the top football grounds but I'd still prefer the older grounds - at some of which you can still stand - and which have more atmosphere.

Another comfortable win for the mighty Saints. I might even have a beer tonight.

If I had to wait for my team to win at the moment for a beer I'd be teetotal by now. Are they the Southampton Saints QB?

'Ull have beaten Palace 'old boys' 1-0.......I cannot believe that Hull are now 4 point clear of 3rd spot....Hull, for gords sake, of all the teams at the top Hull have got to be the worst, the most boring.....I hope they go up...the Premiership deserve them.

Went to see some real football this afternoon Bromley v Forest Green Rovers in the Conference South....FGR won 2-0 but a very good game.

Jill I really take my hat off to you....that is fantastic support.....Spotland is a ground I have never been to...See you have got one our youngers on loan....How is Kieran Cadogan doing?

The last few weeks of the Championship is going to be so exciting.....So many teams still involved in something..Promotion, Play Offs and relegation and I really believe that on their day anyone can beat anyone in our division....Have a look at Peterborough..What an achievment if they stay up and guess who our last game is against.....The Posh.

I can almost guarantee that game is going to be hugh....Palace will need to win to go up or finish third or fourth and Peterborough will need to win to stay up.

It's going to be a brilliant end o the season....I can't wait...I am so excited.... :D

I agree Paul, the end of the season is going to be very exciting with all those in the play off places due to play each other.

I see Martin O'Neill has gone at Sunderland. Another manager casualty. I don't really see much point in sacking managers at this stage of the season. It will take a while for a new manager to settle in by which time it could all be too late. It sounds like a panic decision to me. And after all he was hardly likely to win against Manu was he? I thought Sunderland were unlucky to only lose by the odd goal and an own goal at that.

Dear Paul,

There are a lot of Football fans in Hull who I suspect don't care how boring they are. Hull City have spent two seasons in the top flight since 1904...let the non egg chasers of Hull have their moment of glory.

Watford up next.....I bet Steve Bruce would give an arm and possibly a leg for a boring 1-0.

I very much doubt that will be the result as Watford will be at full strength re their goal scoring capabilities on Tuesday evening, oh yes

... but their defence will have big gaps that can potentially be exploited

I feel another 3:3 coming on

Which (and I speak as an egg chaser who knows nothing about the beautiful game) would suit Steve Bruce nearly as much as a boring 1-0 er.

As a Huddersfield fan I would be quite happy to support a boring team in 2nd place and heading for automatic promotion.
We were very much 2nd best yesterday and would struggle in League one so I hope we can cobble together enough points to stay up, then we can see if Mr Robins can improve us for next season.

Have now won 1 match in 11. A disgraceful performance again from a bunch of million pound players and it's no consolation that Palace and Forest lost as well. We were a total shambles. It's depressing times for us.

Stupid bruddy Brockpool. :wtf:

Just a blip you understand....Only Palace can play a team off the park, even if they are against 10 men and lose.....

It wouldn't surprise me if we went the rest of the season and didn't lose another match.

By the way...MoB, if you are being charge £50.00 for Sky Sports then you are being charged to much and I wouldn't pay that either..I pay less than half that.

I thought you had to have Sky Essentials first and then pay for Sky Sports on top of that. Years ago I was paying £30 a month and they wanted more for Sky Sports 3. I had it for one year and decided it wasn't worth it. I could never understand why I couldn't just have Sky Sports without Essentials.

Me too OBF and if we do get into the Prem .... I may or may not get it again but assumed that Paul was on a shared deal in a housing block, or similar, so not an option available to me.

Mr Gerrard's header stopping a cert goal yesterday

A sheer joy to watch

. . . . and Chelsea's winning goal this afternoon was to perfection

Now for a history lesson. I have only ever been to see two professional football matches, both at the same ground. I won't say where or when, but to give a clue, the home team is currently in a state of some financial embarrassment, and (the future Sir) Alex Ferguson was playing. Oh, and he wasn't wearing a blue shirt.

Now that is an extremely hard nut to crack for a country bumpkin from rural Darzet

But a punt - could it by chance be Glasgow Rangers playing away from the mighty Ibrox :?:

Sir Alex spent his entire playing career in Scotland, so gfwgfw could well be right....I think Man Utd is the only English club he has ever been at,
