Been trying to get into the forum, but from Friday until this morning I just had the anchor and ships wheel showing.
All other sites/apps were working. Turned the router off this morning for a few minutes then back on.
And now a couple of hours later here you all are
Most strange.

Funny you should mention this Ray as I had the same problem a few weeks back. Having taken my lap top to a computer engineer only to be told it was working through his set up, he suggested what you have done, e.g. turn off your computer and router wait a few minutes, light a candle and do a “please work this time chant” and hey’ presto, it worked.

There have been some big scale bot attacks over the last few days, not just on here but generally, which I have been trying to eliminate - with a small degree of success. Unfortunately it is somewhat akin to pushing water uphill!

No idea tbh of what a “bot attack” is David but no problems here accessing the site. What I have noticed for months now is that my junk email box contains loads of emails from random senders posing as BT or O2 etc and I’ve lost count of the number of prizes I’ve won! Some are offering “services” too that I really don’t want :lolno:

I did try turning the phone completely off and powering it up which made no difference, then this morning turned off the router.
I have no idea if this made a difference but a couple of hours later when I tried again you were all there.
As for bots, they sound evil. I fail to see how my little computer can be safe, when the likes of M&S and banks are attacked.
Still, we carry on regardless.

It makes all more uneasy but, sadly, that is the way of the Internet. The only option is to stop using the Internet but that is becoming more difficult by the day.

Nothing has changed recently. The last update was over two months ago.

Is a whip round required for David’s meter?

Forum very slow the last couple of days.
Not normally a problem but today is the worst with pages taking an age to open. Anyone else noticing this or is it just me.

Having just posted, as if by magic things have improved. Must have been that pound coin in he meter

Yes I am aware, as are many others on the Internet.

There has been a sustained attack on many sites with literally a few hundred hits a second resulting in slowing the site down. These are all from random IP addresses which make it virtually impossible to stop.

We need to bring in the death penalty for anyone even suspected of a cyber attack.
