Re: Credit Card Fraud
David and Kendhi. Thank you for your advice. Fortunately this was picked up by my bank as 10 transactions had been made on one day showing they were made without me being present. 2 were genuine but the others weren't. My card was cancelled, and I was re issued another one.
Yesterday I received a letter saying another 5 transactions had been attempted. At least it is already in the hands of their fraud department.

The fact that the bank picked it up does not mean that you don't need to report it because the bank won't do it on your behalf. All the bank are bothered about is getting their money back, if they can.
If you do not report to Action Fraud then you will not subsequently be able to take action against the perpetrator should the need arise. Action Fraud is the part of the police service but going to your local police station to report it will only get you directed to Action Fraud - locally there is not much that can be done.
I have been told this by both my bank and Action Fraud.
(I do not have any connection with Action Fraud other than having logged a case with them)
