Re: How did you choose your Screen Name
Originally I had another user name but quite a long time ago I had problems with my log in and having
consulted P&O I had to re-register.
I used to live on a small development which had a cornmill which had siginficant memories as my husband used to go there
for feed for his dads horses and I went to primary school with the two lads whose parents owned it. Girl is obvious.
I dont live there anymore though. I do like my shortened name though CMG which many of you use.

Re: How did you choose your Screen Name
I wanted an avatar which had a nautical theme and which also had a relevance to where I am from. The Admiral of the Humber is an honourary title awarded to the Lord Mayor of Hull. As pointed out by Graham the Giant, it is also the name of a pub at the top of Anlaby Road in Hull.
Just after I joined the P&O forum somebody refererred to AOTH....and it took a while to realise what they meant!
Regards
Rob aka AOTH
PS If you have to meet Darknightie...meeting him on a dark night isn't such a bad idea as he is VERY ugly.

Re: How did you choose your Screen Name
Paul......because that is my name and the eagle because....
I know I don't mention this very often but I do have, for my sins, a lifetimes affliction to being a supporter of Crystal Palace FC or Cripple Paralysis FC as some of my detractors often say.
As I am sure you know, most football clubs have a nickname and Crystal Palace are no exception...For many years we used to be the Glaziers that was a direct connection to the old Crystal Palace originally built in 1851 for The Great Exhibition in Hyde Park and moved to Crystal Palace Park, South London, that was also the National Sports Stadium (Athleletics and staged motor racing as well) after the exhibition had finished. The football club was founded by workers at the Park that also staged the FA Cup Final for many years (hence the Glaziers). The (glass) Crystal Palace burnt down on 14th November 1953 but the football club, who by then were playing at the wonderful arena known world wide as Selhurst Park, which is actually about two miles from Crystal Palace Park, the clubs spritual home, kept their nickname as the Glaziers....anyway.
I digress
In 1973 a certain Malcolm Allison was appointed manager of Crystal Palace FC and one of the first things he did was change the clubs image....He ditched 'the Glaziers'.....(Good job otherwise I would have been paultheglazier) which would have sounded silly...Mr Allison decided that the clubs nickname, would, with immediate effect, be changed to the Eagles.
Therefore paultheeagle.........Simple really....innit.
Now wasn't that interesting....There ain't nuffink on the box.....

Well being married to a Bond it seemed appropriate, unfortunately though the true 007 was away on an international espionage mission, so I settled with this one instead.

Thank you for correcting my mistake Meg....I knew that but my 'edit button' ran out before I could change it...
It's good that we have an 'edit button' but it don't last long.

I like the quizzes and my name is Robert which is often abbreviated. The syndicate is my favourite but I do get some earache from Mrs. QB who only comes along with me for the sake of marital harmony. I don't know why she bothers really.

My initials before I married were TP, and on my first day at ICI I was christened TP by my colleagues. When I met my now husband, he started to call me TeePers which has stuck. I'm only called Tracey now if I'm in big trouble!!

Re: How did you choose your Screen Name
When I was a kid my favourite TV programme was Captain Scarlet. Captain Black was the mean, moody and thoroughly evil agent of The Mysterons, the never seen inhabitants of Mars.
