Interesting land-based short breaks.

I've had a sneaky peak at Burgh Island - oh dear me no ........ get me that near to water and I'll start hankering for embarkation!

I suppose that with 'Island' being in the name it was a whopping big clue - silly me!

Gosh gill, I go to Burgh Island regularly to walk the dog. I suppose as I live down here I am used to narrow roads, but they are not that bad.

At the end of a long journey, they are bad - for me! Without being too graphic, we had to stop the car so I could get out and ...hmmm, how can I put this, not make a mess in the car!

I have always got extremely car sick, even more so since a prolonged attack of labrynthitis, so it's almost certainly me. Lovely place though!

It's a bit like me not wanting to go on the Orient Express because I might get stuck with people I don't want to be with. Don't get me wrong - I am not anti-social or anything, it's just that I try and plan to have a great time; qed I wouldn't be much impressed if I got stuck with a ranting bore.

That probably wouldn't happen, but having gained a reputation in the past for planning disastrous holidays I now really try hard to succeed.
