I wouldn't say bad, just tired all the time. It's the bl**dy cough that's the pain and seems to go on forever.

Well can’t believe it but I tested positive for Covid last night and again this morning. I blame it on attending a funeral last week but who knows! I felt rough all weekend - sore throat/cough/temperature but put it down to the colds going around. My son suggested a test and bingo I hit the jackpot - feeling sorry for myself today 😔
Sorry to hear this. Hope you're feeling better very soon.

We've both now had invitations by text and email to book jabs through the national scheme, but we're holding out for a week or two until we expect our local surgery to start clinics. We're only just over 3 months since our summer boosters.

I had my Covid jab a couple of weeks ago, no after effects whatever. I did have Covid back in the Summer but I was lucky it was no worse than a summer cold, no cough at all. I couldn't have the flu jab at the same time as apparently the supply had run out. I had a text from my surgery yesterday asking me to book a time at the surgery for a flu jab. I followed the link and had to choose a day, which I did, then book a time, did that too. Then got a message saying, Sorry that time is not available so I tried another time, another three times, no luck. So I tried a different day, chose a time, Sorry that time is not now available. Then I got a message saying there was a problem with the booking and to try later but within 48 hours or the link would no longer work. So this morning I tried again and immediately got a message saying sorry the link no longer worked and to contact my surgery by phone.

Well I don't fancy holding on for goodness knows how long - yesterday people were reporting that they'd hung on longer than an hour and then got cut off. I'm still recovering from the fall I had just over a week ago so I don't really want to have to try to get in the car and go to the surgery and then have to queue to get in which is what seems to be happening. So I'll leave it a bit and then either send an email to the surgery or try my local pharmacy which are offering flu jabs.

I’ve just received a message to say that my jabs have been brought forward a week (Monday)…they apologised and said someone in the office hadn’t realised I was a VIP patient. ;) :D

Day 11 - a negative test result at last!!! First time out going to a yoga class and white van man can’t wait and pre-empts me moving at roundabout and bumps into back of me. Couldn’t make it up but I’m ok and repair/courtesy car etc sorted although a 45 minute wait for insurance to answer was a nightmare

Oh Jan what rotten luck. There are times when it seems things just pile on one after another. I did a very stupid thing a couple of months ago, purely my fault. I parked at our village GP surgery, the car park is on a bit of a slope and I was facing downhill as it were. When I got back in the car I was thinking how amazing some modern cars don't have an actual handbrake, mine doesn't. Then for whatever reason goodness knows why, I put the car in drive rather than reverse and went straight into the car parked nose to nose to mine. I managed to shunt the other car back a few feet, luckily other cars could get round it. I was horrified. I left a note for the other driver with all my details, insurance company, my address, phone number etc. It turned out to be a woman and she never got in touch with me or my insurance company. I assume she did it through her own insurance company and they contacted mine - don't know - I never heard any more. Hope yours is settled easily.

Thanks Merv and Carole - almost wish I’d had a positive test result this morning :lolno:

I’ve had a busy day sorting things out but I was shocked when the garage who will repair the car told me they can’t inspect the car until next month and probably the work will be done after Christmas. Apparently there is a shortage of mechanics/panel beaters etc etc plus parts. I would never have guessed it would take so long but not a lot I can do about it!!!
