I fear it isn't - now's the bit I dislike, when it drags on for weeks afterwards. If we didn't have visitors, the decorations would be coming down...

The decorations will be coming down on Sunday at Hum-Bug towers.

Hi happydays/Stephen

Thank you.

I do actually have a dental repair kit which was purchased for our last cruise....what appears to have happened is the back of my front tooth has broken away but left the front of the tooth intact. I'm not in any pain and the hole it has left doesn't have any sharp edges....other than my tongue wanting to prod around it l think it can wait until next week for repair.

I'll be hoping 'Pearl Acclaim' 2.30 at Chelmsford tomorrow can do the business to help pay for what will no dobht be an extortionate dental repair.

Keep smiling

Regards

Keith

If you are a NHS patient You can kiss goodbye to £222.50 if they have to crown it.

Den-plan will still cost you the lab fee charge of around £145
As for going private, best put your house on the market :)

One of the hazards with old folk like yourself, the old pegs just can't take the bashing they once did :D

Now, I can take a look and see what I can do, but there is of course the extortionate call out charge + nails, superglue and hardwood filler.......not forgetting good old Vodka And Tonic. No, not the drink, VAT

Only 358 shopping days till Christmas folks. Mind you we did get five rolls of wrapping paper knocked down from £3 to 50p each this week. Just hope we remember where we've put it in 11 months time

Roll on Sunday when the G/Kids come to take down the decorations, its a tradition that they look forward too as Cheryl hangs lots of chocolate novelties on the tree.

One of my cousins posted a photo on Facebook showing how he deals with his Christmas tree, he gets a large roll of pallet film and wraps it around the tree baubles and all and it goes in the loft until next Christmas.

Like Merv Cheryl is a savvy shopper and buys all her wrapping paper and Christmas cards now and saves quite a bit, but not as savvy as old Ebeneezer here, I save all the gift bags and bottle bags we receive and use them next Christmas. I always leave the labels on so I know who sent them, that way I don't send people their own gift bag back and I just put new labels on them.

How about this for a novel twist on Christmas crackers, for our annual pre Christmas party I put a lottery lucky dip inside every cracker and out of the fourteen guests two of them got £25 wins and one got two numbers for a free lucky dip.

I spent the best part of a day there a couple of years ago. It is absolutely phenomenal. They were starting to build a representation of Italy, with Africa and the UK in the pipeline. The model airport cost 3m Euros. We won't be in Hamburg long enough on Friday to make a return visit viable but I intend going back in a couple of years.

My daughter says there are now t-shirts with Christmas logos on sale down-under... Aussie cards have all the snow, mistletoe and Christmas trees etc, but it's their mid-summer. And we can't get our heads around Easter being in autumn there...

Christmas still shouldn't start for a few weeks yet. It's not even November!

I now see that David Blunkett MP is calling for shops to not stock Christmas stuff until December.

A Labour MP talking sense! Whatever next?

I'm sorry, that is rubbish! What about those of us that buy and have to send things to friends and relatives, sometimes abroad? I need to post in October to get to some relatives! And with larger items we need to actually deliver all over the country. We can't shop, wrap AND deliver all around Britain ALL in December!

Agree Gill. Note that it's a man who make that stupid suggestion. We are away for 10 days at the beginning of December, am I supposed to do all my shopping on our return on 16th December, get it all bought, wrapped and in some cases posted?

Cobblers ladies. There's nothing whatsoever stopping you from buying Christmas presents at any time of year. He's merely calling for all the Christmas razzmatazz to be kept until a more appropriate time.

Sorry, I often buy CHRISTMASSY things for family abroad. And cards need to be sent, gifts need wrapping. I agree August is a tad early, but December is ludicrous!
