Yet again we concede after controlling much of the match. Yet again we fail to see a game out. It's really frustrating

Re: Football 21/22
Just seen the Keita tackle on Jesse Lingard. I think he only got a yellow because VAR saw it as not malicious. The referee didn't even give a foul. Lingard soon got up so he wasn't hurt.
There was a worse tackle by Sanchez I think) on Alexander -Arnold.

We’ll agree to disagree.Bensham33 wrote: 20 Apr 2022, 23:08Just seen the Keita tackle on Jesse Lingard. I think he only got a yellow because VAR saw it as not malicious. The referee didn't even give a foul. Lingard soon got up so he wasn't hurt.

We don’t have Sanchez anymore
It was Bruno.

I tend to think your teams performances might have contributed just a bit more to your probable fate than the foxes conceding a late goal, as usual.Manoverboard wrote: 21 Apr 2022, 08:30... yet again you contribute to our relegationoldbluefox wrote: 20 Apr 2022, 21:55Yet again we concede after controlling much of the match. With Sean Dyche at the helm the Hornets will be like a phoenix rising from the ashes in the promotion race out of the Championship

Big weekend this one ....
I think we are going to be relegated so I wouldn't really mind too much if Burnley win today but only as long as Everton lose, that way we may very well take the Blues down with us
Gills have to get a better result than Fleetwood to avoid the drop so come on you Gills

Re: Football 21/22
They think it’s all over …..
Really can’t complain.
Couldn’t fault the effort of the players but we are severely lacking in quality.
To still have a chance with minutes to go is amazing but ultimately, we are a relegation side.
To think Fleetwood stayed up with 40 points is incredible.
It’s normally 50.
We were once relegated with 54.
Shows how the league is divided with haves and have nots.
82 points didn’t make the playoffs.
Bring on next season.
Champions of League Two.
Been there before and it’s a good feeling

Sorry that the Gills were relegated Barney, but as a Yorkshiteman I was cheering for Rotherham, and it was our loanee Rarmani Edmonds-Greene who got Rotherhams first goal.

Commiserations barney. It's not the best of feelings to be relegated but hopefully you will have better experiences in League 2.

Re: Football 21/22
Hard luck barney to be relegated by goal difference is a hard one to take. Let's hope next season the Gills turn it around and go straight back up.
Incidentally, if Watford lose next week then they will be down as well. I wonder who they are playing?
A brilliant 3 points for the Palace against Southampton. An injury time winner from Wilf. What's not to like. Sorry to say that I wasn't there. Couldn't get a ticket this time. I went to Bromley v Chesterfield. A very entertaining match 4-2.

I know how barney must be feeling, and it's not the best but next season he can look forward to, or hope for an exciting push for promotion.
And if that doesn't happen he can always switch his allegiance to the Eagles, better still the Foxes....................or even the Hornets!!!!

I'm sitting in the Glaziers Club at Selhurst Park with a pint of bitter and a steak and kidney pie. The Palace are playing Watford and we are all excited to welcome back Roy Hodgeson CBE. He will get a great reception.

Re: Football 21/22
He was all smiles as he walked round the pitch ... well done to the Palace fans

It's surely time to utilise ex players in the VAR studio.
Watford's Karama was pushed in the back so instinctively raised his arms to protect his fall but the ball then hit his arm and the idiot ref gave Palace a penalty. A very poor decision

Hand ball with a push .... let's see what MOTD say.
Palace deserved to win but not with a dodgy decision.

Re: Football 21/22
No need to wait for MotD no dodgey decision.
It was a nailed on pen. There was a bit of contact from Olise but it was very minimal. If Watford defenders are that easily moved off the ball then no wonder they are going down.
