I'm still inclined to OUT, but think that if it's a Stay vote, then that is it forever.

It should no longer even be debated. We have voted to stay in.

We should then throw ourselves whole heartedly into the EU as full and participating members at every level.
We should embrace everything.
We should cancel the rebate. Why should the UK get any preferential terms?
We should join Schengen
We should join the Euro
We should happily concede our highest legal system to the European Supreme court
We should take our rightful seat at the top table of ALL EU negotiations
We should have a team applying for every possible grant available.
We should milk it for all it's worth
If we need massive infrastructure improvements due to EU migration, the EU should pay for it.
If we need to build hundreds of thousands of new homes (near you) to accommodate them, the EU should subsidise it.

No more this strange island on the periphery of the mainland.
IN 100% or nothing !

Ray, Frank, Moby, QBob, I fully understand the fear of the unknown that the prophets of doom in the remain campaign have sown in your minds ...
You misunderstand me.

NOBODY has put a fear of any sort into my mind, the concerns that I have were pieced together in my own mind by little ol me.

Basically ....

I genuinely would not wish to see the value of our pension(s) drop nor would I wish to see our grandchildren facing a bleak future regarding their employment prospects, both are real risks in MY opinion. Unlike some of you I deffo do not have a village / Island mentality that fears the strangers coming from a foreign land but I do agree that sensible restrictions will eventually need to be put in place.
You obviously have little faith in the entrepreneurial spirit of British business to be able to compete without being a member of the EU, shame on you.

The concept of European union was based on an idea put forward by Winston Churchill don'tcha know and every agreement has advocated Federalism even if you didn't read the small print.
You clearly did not read it all way through, WS was advocating a closer union of continental states to help avoid future conflict, he most certainly saw no place in this for the UK
Having a pound coin rather than a 1 euro piece in my pocket is meaningless if the pound coin buys less that the euro, the symbolism of English coins will surely become irrelevant once Her Maj is promoted to a higher place.
Whilst we retain sterling financial policy can be decided solely on what is best for the UK, the Euro zone needs to take account of the wider problems of all the EU countries. Do you think the German economy would still be languishing behind ours if they were not being constrained by the weaker member states in the Euro.
In reality I have more concerns about being governed by an opportunist buffoon like Boris than rumours of marauding Turks.
I can think of only one good reason for joining the Euro, and that is that it would make it a little easier for UK citizens when travelling abroad.
My other concern if we do have the b**ls to vote leave, is that once the markets realise how well the UK is performing outside the EU, the value of sterling will increase so much that our exports might suffer. However Germany coped quite well with this situation for many years before they joined the Euro, so I guess we could learn to manage it as well.
I can understand why you might not appreciate the enormous benefits to business of having a single currency but not joining has been one giant missed opportunity. How do you think anybody can have a long-term trading relationship sell products to the largest trading bloc in the world if their prices jump up and down by 20% or more at a whim?

If we left the value of sterling would plummet.

Our Financial Adviser came to see us this morning. He is predicting a prolonged period of instability in stock markets and capital migrating to Europe and elsewhere, if Brexits win. If he ever posts on here he will be similarly ridiculed QB. Gove's latest "We could pay the junior doctors from saving our EU contribution". Huh! As if that bunch of Right Wing loonies would put the money (if there really was any) into the NHS. They of all the politicians, are more likely to privatise the NHS. Probably sell it to Phillip Green for £1.

Not wishing to be confrontational but it's when statements like that are said as a fact, when the reality is, that nobody really knows.
'experts' can have a best guess but have been proved many times in the past, to be well off the mark.

Many of the worlds major financial institutions have grossly under or over estimated things before.
I can remember not many years ago, experts saying that it would be the end of us if we didn't join the Eurozone.
Well, we're still here and doing very well compared to most of those countries.

I don't fully understand the world of high finance, but I can add up and take away and in my humble opinion, (not an expert) I think our deal with the EU favours the other member states much more than it favours us.
Some may think that subsidising other countries is a worthwhile role in the world, I'd rather any 'spare' money be spent on our own people.

I sent my Stay brochure to my local Tory MP with a covering letter saying that I would have preferred that £9 million be spent on keeping the local Centre for Dementia sufferers open, but somehow, there is no money for that.

Many of the Stay campaigners think that it is all about trade and trade deals.
Not in my book, it's not.
It's about much, much more than that.

Another vote for Barney.
Brexit is about much more than trade or finance. Unfortunately the Remain supporters only focus on one aspect of our membership whilst ignoring what else we are signing up to.

Another reasoned argument from the stay campaign? If you don't agree with us it's because you don't understand so better you don't vote. That's about as patronising as it comes.

Makes me laugh how old Q Bob is such an expert but flatly refuses to explain why he is such an expert ....sounds like both sides of the argument, perhaps Qbob's corner shop can't survive without cheap labour from the EU?

I see the Met Office are forecasting an influx of "dirty air" from the continent tomorrow. Bet we wouldn't get that if we weren't in the EU !!

Yes and we would really miss their dirty air here on the South coast. It's terrible! If we leave there will be no more French fries, no pizzas, no spag bol, no goulash, no Belgian buns, no paella, or feta cheese.

Here's a prize example of how useless the EU is. We are now going to take child refugees already in other EU countries because it is judged they're at risk. If the EU can't even keep children safe how can it be trusted with our future?

Totally agree Merv. May be that Silly woman from 'Citizens UK' and Yvette Cooper are going to take them in...After all Balls has plenty of time on his hands.

Some interesting statistics taken from Wikipedia on population density:
UK 262 sq km
Germany 228 sq km
France 118 sq km
Italy 202 sq km
Spain 92 sq km
Ireland 65 sq km

It seems to me there is plenty of capacity there to look after these vulnerable children. Harsh though it may sound but considering the social problems we have in this country, plus the problems we have with housing, schools, health others are better placed than ourselves to offer sanctuary. Some countries could take in all the refugees and still have a population density less than ours.
I'm afraid the likes of Shami and the 'although we live in the same house together we will claim individual allowances', hand wringing Cooper woman make my blood boil. Let's take them in where the resources are minimal, put them in the most deprived areas of the country where accommodation is cheapest and then wonder why, in years to come, we have problems. Politicians such as these? No time for them!!
