I hadn’t seen that one Annie, but I had seen a previous one, which was about Boris and ‘making buses’.

Very funny indeed

‘Paragraph 5c’ is funny as well. You can just imagine Johnson being fed his lines, and still managing to come out with meaningless blather!
He's done Trump as well... which ever side of the Great Divide one is on, they provide some light relief.

Here's the one Gill mentioned, good ole paragraph 5c:

We watched a recording of a recent program about Sicily last night, an Island we have enjoyed many times. The food and wine are, or at least can be, magnificent but very ' rustic '. For example barbecued freshly slaughtered lamb cooked up in the mountains by one of the shepherds or suckling pig fired over a wood stove etc … you get the picture. Their wine is also ' traditional ', i.e. pressed by pounding bare feet and they do not stop unless or until the grapes have been well and truly ' trod '. However ….

The EU have instructed them to stop right now as the process is not in accordance with the Health n Safety legislation from Brussels … in spite of the fact that they have been producing and drinking their very unusual wine for the past 2,500 years :?

Typical of the EU, always sticking their noses in where it's not wanted.

Clearly Barnier doesn't drink cheapo Sicilian wine. He has much more expensive tastes so we will all have to pay more.

But that is only just over 57% of the Conservative Party membership - not exactly an overwhelming victory :?

As in any election, it's only votes cast that count.

The new EU president of the commission won by 9 votes and she was the only candidate.

Thems the rules.

The GE that will follow shortly will sort the men from the boys.

All of those, on both sides of the argument will have to pick a side.
Would you vote for your MP if he or she had contrasting brexit views to you.

Would you vote for the Tory candidate if he was a brexiteer?
Would you vote for your Labour MP if he was a staunch remainer.
OR would you vote for an alternative party that you had no time for except for Brexit.?

The choice is yours

Well that's the rules of how the Conservatives elect their leader. And there's nothing new in a serving PM being replaced by members of their own party. Remember Gordon Brown. Never elected as a PM in a general election, and maybe Boris won't be either. And a few before him. In fact out of 24 PMs in the last century half came to power without a General Election. Across three parties.

And as for the turnout - well it's only those who can be bothered to vote who count. Though no doubt there'll be some who didn't vote who will complain about the result - much like the Referendum!

But I see some EU Commissioners, elected by no-one, are already attacking him. That's real democracy in action eh? :sarcasm:

I accept that any number of statistical wizards will wish to whinge and poor cold water on Boris's fine achievement but at the end of the day a win is a win is a win … anybody, bar a simpleton or a Remainer, can surely see that.

Well yes give the guy a little slack, I don't think many will be envious of him, with many overjoyed at the chance to settle old scores. That is the Tory party of today :-(

I expect more people voted for Ed Balls on Strictly than voted for him as their MP!

What a weird comparison.

Not surprised coming from the Brussels Broadcasting Corporation. I wonder what their approval rating would be. Could be more people voted for Boris than would say they are satisfied with the Beeb.

What's wrong with the Beeb OBF? I watch both BBC and Sky news and find balanced reporting from both, but then, perhaps I am a simpleton :lolno:
