On a more serious note after this desperate, last ditch attempt with an e-petition has anybody any news of how the trade negotiations are going? Interestingly Mr Barnier seems to be spending much more time coming over to London whereas it was TM scuttling off to Brussels at their every beck and call.
My guess is there will be a compromise of sorts, maybe a transitional period as the new deal takes full effect (viz fisheries) but I have no idea what the final outcome will look like. The main point is we will be out of the EU.
Yes, I’ve seen something.

I’ll post a link to it if anyone is interested, but I doubt if anybody will be interested as it’s from Twitter.

But it doesn’t matter what any deal is - you’ll all be happy with anything, as we’ve already left the EU, so you’ve got what you wanted.

Gil, you still appear to show little understanding of the psyche of the average brexit supporter, whereas I do believe we fully understand the remain views.

So I take it none of you want to know what was being said.

No skin off my nose. If it’s true, we’ll find out next week.

The twitterati got it all wrong on Brexit (depending on who you listened to) so there's no reason for me to believe anything those so called experts say. I don't believe everything I read in The Express so there is certainly no reason to believe the Twitter gossip.

The ‘experts’ have called pretty much everything incorrectly for quite a while, from Brexit to May’s landslide victory to Johnson’s hung parliament to Biden’s landslide victory.
Old Joe may well win but will have four tough ineffective years given that the GOP have won the senate.
He’ll be a bit like TM was. All the power with no actual power.

I quite like Trump if only for his entertainment value but Sleepy Joe has nothing much going for him. It is rather worrying that he has had to wheel out his old boss, that true Irish American Mickey O'Bama (he who would put UK at the back of the queue if we voted for Brexit only to change his mind shortly afterwards!) and a trail of faded recording stars to shore up his campaign.
Is this really the best the Americans could come up with?

What amazes me is how inefficient the Americans are at organising an election, or at least organising the counting of the votes

There were reports today that some votes from the armed services would take a week to arrive in the US from overseas stations. Are they being delivered by pack pony?

They should get the lads and lasses of Sunderland to do the count for them. They know how to get the results out PDQ. What a fiasco!!!

I was listening to something the other night where it was saying postal votes need to have signature verification, if there is any doubt the postal vote can be sent back to the sender for proof of signature?

How true it is I don’t know but vote rigging is problery more prevalent than what it is here?

I watched a few minutes of one US postal vote count this morning on Breakfast TV, very long forms and the tellers were extremely slow but I assumed that was because they were having to check for spoilt or counterfeit forms.

You must have encountered US officials - that is their "normal" speed (on a good day!)

Airports are their normal speciality.

They are better at cruise terminals than airports

Takes some beating for sure but the worst of all, for us, was landing on Boldt Island ( USA ) from a Canadian Port in the 1,000 Islands region ... 300 passengers getting off one's high speed cruiser, we were last off. Canadian chums were first off and had seen the main house and had their lunch before we got to the part where their soddin' computer was down
