I was reading a report from a referee yesterday, who said AF got on far better with referee's than a lot of people think.
He recalled one incident when AF met him in the tunnel after a match, he was smiling and enquired if he was going out that evening.
When the referee said no and wondered why AF had asked the the question.
AF replied, I was just wondering why we had finished so early.
He recalls another time after a cup final, the first cup final this referee had undertaken, when AF took a bottle of Champagne to the referees changing room, for him to celebrate, even although the match had been a dull one.

People are saying that when Sir Alex Ferguson retires, Man Utd won't be as good any more, and I think that's absolute rubbish.
Howard Webb still has a good few years left in him.
