The 50mile limit is if you use the 'get you home' foam that some cars have in lieu of any spare tyre at all. But if you use the foam, it renders the tyre unrepairable - so you need to replace it (and you need a new can of the 'gunk', which can cost up to £40.) Has anybody ever used the foam and had a workable result? I couldn't get it to work even on the jockey wheel of my caravan.
