Sounds logical Ken but would probably be a logistical nightmare especially when other groups step forward with equally plausible claims. Considering it is the older ones who are most vulnerable (and have probably been hardest hit) it may be more expedient just to work though the age groups.

There is another line of thought to give it to the younger age group first because it is they who are mixing and spreading it around the rest of society.

However it is organised it needs to be sorted ASAP and mass inoculation to be arranged so nobody has to wait that long.

The thoughtless inconsiderate sh*ts should be last on the list not first, and then only get a watered down version. And the same goes for anyone else found flouting the rules. Back of the queue you go.

Another 7 weeks is nothing given that we have been waiting since last March but it will seem an eternity ...

As I understand it we have enough vaccine to last for the next seven, or more, weeks anyway. The only criticism could be that we could vaccinate more people quicker but that would depend on the manpower available to actually give the jabs.

My understanding has been that we have the capacity to do the vaccinations, but getting the supplies to the right place at the right time and fully verified, is the delaying factor.

....................and the appointments going out, and people willing to have the jab, and people turning up as they should (when they've decided which vaccine they are willing to have :sarcasm: ).
I bet the job is a logistical nightmare if truth be told. And meanwhile the hawks will be stood on the sidelines looking for any flaws in the system.
