Well, surprise surprise, I can agree with a lot of that. And I'm very pleased to see at the very end that you agree Israel is not innocent of blame. It needs to withdraw within its legal borders. And stay there. Live in peace and let the Palestinians do the same.

Don’t ask me what the answer is but the legal system has gone to pot.

Re: Current Affairs 2024
I know not everyone will agree but I thought Trooping The Colour today was magnificent. Something uniquely British (right down to the weather!) And it was good to see both the King and Princess of Wales looking well despite their ongoing health trials.
I couldn't have stood smartly as he did for the length of time he did, despite being slightly younger. And she played a wonderful supporting role, not trying to steal the limelight as certain others might.
But what a shame those others couldn't humbly share the occasion in the same way, having thrown their teddies out of their cot.

I’m sure I saw you waving your yellow flag with the other anti monarchists outside buck house.

I proudly had the Union Flag flying from our flag pole Saturday.
Still wondering if my gong is delayed in the post.

Yes’, it was a colourful display wasn’t it…had I been fitter I would have loved to have been there to wave back at them.Stephen wrote: 16 Jun 2024, 07:53I’m sure I saw you waving your yellow flag with the other anti monarchists outside buck house.

Far too thin though, and I suspect putting on a brave face.
I thought the King also looked thin and gaunt. All credit to them for making an appearance though. They could quite easily had just said ‘s*d it I’m staying put’.

I did catch a glimpse of both Charlie and Kathrine (while scrolling through the channels looking for something better to watch) and thought Katherine looked stunning considering what she is going through, Charlie, as you say Stephen looked pale and gaunt…. thinking about it, and in the absence of another gun powder plot, I hope he sticks around for a few more years cus his successor is as false as they come and a nasty piece of work in my opinion.

Re: Current Affairs 2024
A glimpse is a fleeting, momentary view of something. I suggest, Onelife, that you are telling little porkies, and in reality you were glued to the TV most of the show, to capture so much of the detail of the Royal family as you did.
In reality, you really do enjoy the King birthday parade, but try to give a different impression.
Keith, nothing wrong with coming out of the closet.

I can assure you Ray, I only spotted this pompous Birthday celebration on my way to see which races ITV racing were covering.
I did also see a picture of the Royal freeloaders looking up at the sky thinking…”thank gawd the tax payers are paying for this”.

Can this get any worse?
https://news.sky.com/story/migrants-try ... n-13154980
Thankfully
Starmer is going to introduce a new "Boarder Security Command" presumably to give the illegal migrants a good talking to.
His policy will at best create more jobs for thousands of new law enforcers, but with little or no reduction in migrant numbers

Re: Current Affairs 2024
What is the point of the French police being there if they can’t intervene. Disgraceful.

Re: Current Affairs 2024
Is it though.
Rishi said if he gets back in power the immigrants are off to Rwanda.
So either he is planning to break the law (unlikely)or its all been legally agreed in advance.

Good question, I wondered if the potential failure to start the flights In July might have influenced his decision.

It can’t be against the law because the last government passed it into law.Ray B wrote: 19 Jun 2024, 14:26Maybe the same reason that we can not Just put them on a plane and send them to Rwanda.
