Hi Sue,

You are doing just fine  ....2lb a week is what you should be aiming for and if you take my advise and hide your Easter eggs now you might forget where you've hidden them come next Sunday :)

Regards

Hi Keefy,
I am one of those lucky people who chocolate does nothing for. Can take it or leave it. I leave it so that I can consume more wine.

2lbs loss is okay but as I have so much to lose I was hoping for more. Slow and steady is best. Not booked it yet but only. 9 weeks to next cruise so need to get a shift on.

You have a lovely Easter too Keefy

Err not sure about staying strong, I'm off to M&S shortly to do an Easter shop and I'm already 'drooling' at the thought of their 'sticky toffee pudding' not to mention several other delights ... I might be 'hovering' for a while

Well done all you serious Inch Pinchers.

I had been doing quite well and was congratulating myself on the spare inches on my trouser waist................... until last night. Disaster!! I was out with the lads and the menu was soup, which was lovely so I had two bowls together with two bread rolls. That was followed by mixed grill with chips swilled down with a couple of pints and I came home bloated.

Hangs head in shame and goes off to naughty step. Sorry folks but let that be a lesson to you.

Best wishes to you Keith for a Happy Easter and indeed to all the dedicated dieters.

DQ, There is naughty and very naughty. What will you be having with your pudding and cheese board and what will you be supping to help it on its way.

You can always be strong willed with the choice of starter.

I know Andrea but it is Easter so there have to be a few treats, oh and a few treats next week when I meet Suespud so I could be hovering for a while

I don't really do starters I much prefer puddings and cheese, main meals will be very sensible though and yes I will be 'supping' plenty of my favourite Merlot  I ordered 3 cases yesterday from Tesco ( not that I'm planning on drinking them all !! ) but already half price and then a further 25% off ( offer on until the 26th if anyone is interested ) it seemed silly not to

Are you doing anything special ??

LOL. You cannot turn your back on offers like the wine. That is a good buy. Or should it really be goodbye.

Life is too short to go without the things we enjoy. It just makes it harder to get back on track.

We having a quiet family weekend, nothing special planned but we are out for dinner on Sunday.

Enjoy your weekend and enjoy your girlie day with Suespud .

Oh, great !!! - you lot are really leading me astray. I was going to be good this weekend because our friends have gone away and so I was hoping to avoid the wine and chocolates and crisps which we usually over indulge in on a Saturday night. I was 142 lbs this morning when I hopped on the scales but those last 2lbs are sticking like glue.

However, we had a day at Southampton today and I tried on a Per Una size 14 dress on and it was too loose for me which makes me worry about my cruise clothes - I will have to try them on soon and see if they are still all right for wearing in June. I now possess one pair of size 12 black trousers, 1 size 12 summer jacket and 1 size stretchy top. They may have to be my cruise clothes if the others are too big - if not, I may have to start eating frantically to fill out the 14s a bit better.

Enjoy the Easter weekend everyone.

Maureen, Stay strong you have almost reached your target . it is dress size that counts now not that extra 2 lb. Naughtiness can be fun but don't do anything you will regret later. Keep thinking of your June cruise . I am sure when you get to try try your clothes on they will feel good. Too tight isn't a good look , looser can be very flattering.

Enjoy your weekend .

Maureen, sometimes people try and tempt you because they think they are being kind. 'No' is the shortest, clearest and simplest way to avoid temptation, and there are squillions of way to say it - facial expressions and body language help too.

I've lost a stone recently, and I am determined not to put it back on.

Em = No is also the hardest word to say especially when I know I've got some Magnum ice creams in the freezer. I should have said No when hubby picked them up at the supermarket. It's all his fault (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it).

By the way, I love the new grand daughter's name.

Maureen.

I reckon this loss of a stone is about as much help as a chocolate teapot though, Maureen - now I have to walk along holding the top of my trousers!

My clothing is heading south and it's a nuisance!!!

I know the feeling, Em. I'm getting too big for size 14s but I don't want to buy too many size 12s until I am sure I have settled at that size. I wore my size 14s to a party a few weeks ago and they felt as though they were down around my knees - I don't know how those youngster can wear their trousers low slung and showing their butts. It is a most uncomfortable feeling. I did go out the next day and buy 1 pair of size 12 black trousers which will have to do for now.

I'm checking in early this week as I'm going away for a couple of days - now down to 11-7-6 - a loss of one pound!

1lb down this week to 141 lbs since last Sunday so only 1lb to go. My saving grace this week has been much more exercise as my intake of Magums has also increased.

Won't be getting out how much for exercise today as the weather forecast for down south looks yucky but I hope everyone is having a good Easter break.

Hi all,

I have had a bad week and I am ashamed to report that I have put 1lb back on. Our son and DIL are visiting until next Sunday so I don't hold out much hope for next week either.
