Whilst some of his hot racing tips are a bit dodgy Onelife is a gentleman and I feel sure he won't mind us going off topic, DQ. He'll be in a good mood anyway if he managed to find a couple of winners.

I've just been reading the insert we received with yesterday's paper.

I'm putting my money on Pineau de Rea.. 25/1 seems decent odds.

I'll get to the bookies during the week, and fortunately Huddersfield Town are playing away next Saturday, so I'll be able to watch the race live, for once.

I've got a good feeling about this one, this year -- so I'll probably back it to win, rather than the usual each way bet. Just my luck, it'll probably finish second in a photo finish!

He has been talking about retirement for quite a number of years but as faras Iam aware he will be leading the walks again this year. I'm amazed how many people turn out for them. Moses would have been proud of him.
Whilst it is entirely safe, if you stop to let the others catch up and paddle your feet around it soon gets soft and rather jelly-like. When you crossed the channels did you feel the dabs (flounder) under your feet?

Sorry, Onelife, we have digressed........................ Hope the mods don't notice!!!
I don't remember feeling dabs under my feet but I was usually the one they were waiting for to catch up

Kaymar, you are entitled to your opinion of course, but let's see who's laughing this time next week.

Dear Admin,

Rarely do l find myself having to PM you but l think it best l do it this way rather than air my greviances on the open furom. I would like to report a member of this furom who goes by the name of "Foxy" for his blatent breach of rule 32 b "cross contamination of threads". I must say at this point l wouldn't have minded if it had been about something more intresting than just walkies over some bridge in gawd knows where... but to desecrate my donkey tipping thread for a trip down memory lane, is l think you will agree, a "step" to far.

I trust you will take the appropriate action in ensuring it doesn't happen again.....btw l would appreciate you not mentioning that it was me who got him the warning as l wouldn't like him to think of me as anything other than Gentleman

Regards

OL aka (squeak squeak)

Dear Mr Onelife

I am sorry to hear of your distress that one 'Foxy' has desecrated your donkey walloping thread. May I take this opportunity to thank you for snitching reporting him and I can assure you that he will be severely censured.

I can assure you that no mention of your name will be made and his misapprehension of your gentlemanly demeanour will be maintained.

Kindest regards

OBF

Hi DTM

I can't promise that you'll get a return from your bookie but Red Rum did make it to the winning line (Red Rum is buried in the shadow of the Aintree winning post) Fitting tribute to this great Grand National hero don't you think?

Regards

Keith
