Moving House

Unread post by suespud »

Oh my word....what a day
My eldest son and daughter in law moved house today.... Stressful to say the least!!!
Move went well... But the stuff :o
Was there from early this morning, till 6pm, then I picked the twins up, cos they are sleeping at ours tonight
I'm knackered.
I think my kids and their partners think I'm superwoman!!!

On the plus side ...my oh is due to fly into Newcastle any minute... Be home by 11pm!!!
:D

Sue, I don't know you but I put you in the superwoman class in fact you sound like a real Super Woman . I don't know how you ever find time to chill out. School holidays with just 1 8 year old plus a 9 month old baby is so tiring (but very enjoyable) , how you cope with yours is amazing. Enjoy your weekend.

Don't know what all the fuss is about - that sounds like a normal day for a woman to me :sarcasm:

Well...if the truth be known... Babies been up since 5.30... Back to sleep now...This "superwoman" is now sitting watching Peppa Pig in my nightie...drinking milky coffee and eating cold sliced beef...make up still on from last night... Going to jump in the shower before they wake up.
My house looks like a bomb has dropped...bin full of pooey nappies..
Ironing piled high, ashamed to say my OH had to iron a shirt for himself this morning.
He is away on a wedding shoot with our son.
I'm taking the twins to their new home at noon... Then picking up Olly and Noah up, as they are sleeping over tonight!!
Lunch for 14 tomorrow..then staying in bed with my OH,ALL DAY MONDAY!!!! Locking the doors......
Sooo Noo I'm not superwoman. I struggle a bit, not all the time, I have to say.
But actually I'm only doing what lots and lots of other grandmothers do, to help out their children who work very hard.

Just I'm having a moan...lolol

I'll bet a large sticky bun (that's serious talk for me) that you do it all seamlessly and with great aplomb.

And then - it sort of rolls off the tongue - SuperSueSpud ..... yip sounds good.

Have a great lock-in!

Ohhhh stuff to do meg, it's going to be a long term move, so no hurry as such.

I have already bought new bits and bobs for them. New stuff for kitchen, bin, oven gloves, table mats etc .
New bedding...to go on their new bed.
Most of the accessories are cream...like the monogrammed cushions. they were given with their names on.!!
I thought they might have "got lost" in the move...but they are still there.
Sean is not too fond off them... But they came from an old aunt, so are still there...lol
