Frank - I have a lot of sympathy for you trying to lose weight as I believe you bake your own bread. The smell of the lovely warm Tiger bread at Tesco was just too much for me and I had to buy some. I couldn't survive in your house with the wonderful smell of freshly cooked bread and would give up any idea of dieting so I think you have done very well to lose 2lbs this week.

Luckily for me I hate cooking and we rarely buy cakes so my diet doesn't get sabotaged so easily as yours.

Maureen.
I am cooking sausages in onion and wine at present, with mash, cabbage, and carrots. Funny Sunday lunch I know, but I love the Duchy sausages. Rationed to two of course, the cold ones are for later!

I've just done afelia - pork marinated in red wine and crushed coriander seed, then cooked in the marinade with some ground cinnamon, served with rice and salad.

Yummy

Two things you just can't beat (at least not with a whisk:). A healthy option toasted bacon sandwich or chip butty .....luvely jubbly

Hi all,

Weighed in yesterday and lost a pound.
Pleased with that after 3 nights on the trot playing squash.

Moving out on Friday for 2 weeks whilst we have some building work done so may have a few take aways during that time so I may put a bit on..

Got some faggots in the oven at the moment for tea...bleeding cold and wet here.
Need some sunshine

Weather lousy on IOW as well and, when I'm indoors, I eat more BUT at least we are making an effort ourselves not to become overweight and we are not expecting the taxpayer/NHS to pay for us to attend a weight loss club. We have all shown that a bit of support from others can help encourage us to lose weight. Well done RB.

No, just fancied a change and then had a banana afterwards. Had liver and bacon at the pub at lunch time and was very good and didn't eat the mashed potato or have a dessert so a little bit of self control there.

Hiya pinchers,

Still in Wales, having endured several days of very soggy conditions. My sister who has a caravan two miles down the road invited us over for dinner this evening, and very nice it was too.... already on my third glass of wine...and its only 6.45......As you can tell the diet is going well.

No internet conection on our site but having obtained my sisters password l thought l would drop in and say hello to all my pinchers ( doing fine Maureen...thankyou, just a shame about the weather) having said that we haven't had a drop of rain today.

Due back Friday evening so will catch up with you for Sundays weigh in.

Pleased to see Darkpanties is still giving his motivational speaches  ......stay stronger than me pinchers and remember......"word of caution, eat smaller portion"

Regards

Keith

Unfortunately not Maureen, I think I must have been on the 'sod it' diet this week ( without being aware ) as I've put 2 1/2lbs on :o :?

Have no idea why as I haven't 'indulged' in anything except the odd glass of wine !!

Good morning pinchers,

After last weeks overindulgence l'm pleasantly surprised to find that l've only gained 3lbs (12 stone 3lbs) this week.

I'm in a good place at the moment because as far as l know we don't have any other gut busting engagements coming up over the next few weeks so it should be plain sailing to my 11 stone 10 lbs target weight.

Stay strong pinchers and remember...."crisps and nuts create bigger butts"

Jo, perhaps it has something to do with your cup size  ..... drinking out of a "wine glass" instead of a mug might help?

Regards

Keith

Why is it, when my family know I'm trying to lose weight, that they give me wine and chocolates for my birthday, which I feel duty-bound to consume?

I've shot up to 11-9-2

Hee Hee I've always liked odd numbers !!

Now that's a thought Andrea although I do have a glass that holds a bottle ( thought I'd sent it to the charity shop but noticed it at the back of a cupboard recently )

Only 1/2 lb loss this week but I did have an Indian meal last night and an Indian beer and wine. The meal was quite good though no rice or sauce just a mixed meat and fish Tandoori.
