Happy Weekend everyone
Garden finished, lounge finished and new furniture delivered, so no more sitting in the lounge on garden chairs. Girlie night tomorrow with two work colleagues and lots of champagne and wine.... Happy days

Re: Happy Weekend everyone
Well done on completing all your works. We are in the throes of a large conservatory, decking, garden design decorating etc etc etc,but should be straight in about two weeks. In the meantime our daughter and prospective son-in-law for lunch tomorrow - they are used to living in a mess!
Enjoy your weekend.
Enjoy your weekend.

Enjoy your weekend. Sue is making a dress, so we have one room with the sewing machine, one room for cutting out board, and the ironing board up in the kitchen, Add to that I have just got all my oil paints out in the conservatory and we are in a similar mess. Oh and I re seeded the front lawn and it is now desperate for a cut. Hope no one visits us this weekend.

Re: Happy Weekend everyone
Judy Goodlet of BBC Radio Solent has made a cushion for us to raffle for the Mission to Seafarers, beginning at a Coffee Morning and Nearly New Sale next Tuesday morning in Canford Cliffs. I have just laminated a couple of publicity blurbs to accompany it, complete with the lovely Judy's photo. Unfortunately trying to laminate a third I jammed the laminator and a mass of twisted and charred stuff has come out all over the study carpet.....I am heading for the dog house!

I've been busy looking for something nice for granddaughter to wear to a special event - neither daughter nor I have had much luck so far. Also, a local lady who is also about to become a granny really admired the pram blanket I embroidered and has asked a couple of time where I got it from; so I've found out a bit about her expected grandchild (also a girl, and the name) so I'm starting to embroider a blanket for her as a surprise.

As you're obviously very accomplished with a needle and thread, why not make a special outfit? She'll be wearing haut couture - well bespoke anyway - and no other baby will be wearing the same.

No problem, it was the Playstation versus muddy stick bit that made made me lose it.Onelife wrote:Hello Jenni

Hi Gill,
I'm a bit ahead of you on this point - already done and dusted, and just about to start a lovely little dress with matching bits and pieces for a special occasion.

Sorry, but I found that rather sad. Actually, why am I saying "sorry"? If the father wants to believe in fairy tales and not look at the plentiful evidence in support of the Bible with an open mind, there was no need for him to be so obnoxious to the school chaplain. While there is the right to "freedom of speech", that freedom is, as in this case, sadly abused. Unfortunately, it's his attitude that is prevalent to day while the voice of reason is shouted down.JenniC wrote:if you want a laugh - read this

Anyway, well done on getting everything sorted, Jenni - enjoy the fruits of your labours!

Re: Happy Weekend everyone
Well I made 36 cupcakes on Friday - for grandson's 2nd Birthday party today - yesterday had a visit planned to see my brother and his family - niece expecting a first baby in August - and then this morning have put the frosting on said cupcakes, put a sugar animal - lion, dog, elephant and bear - on top of each one and put them on a stand. Party this afternoon which will be what will seem like hundreds of boys chasing round the garden - grandaughter's parties are much more sedate! They live next door to us and we have a connecting garden gate but I expect after a while I shall be retreating and letting them all get on with their fun!
