All Weather Wicker Garden Furniture

I've been looking at All Weather Wicker Garden Furniture, anyone got this and if so how comfortable is it and is it really 'all weather' as we would have nowhere to store it during the winter.

DQ, Last year I bought one of the cheaper sets to use at our allotment. The cushions were left in the shed and the frame was covered over through the winter with the outdoor covers you can buy. The weather hasn't damaged it at all although last winter wasn't really too bad. It is ideal for us to use when ( ?? ) the sun is out but the dearer sets have much thicker cushions and I presume these would be very comfortable.

We bought some last year which came with covers. We had an enormous amount of rain over the winter and it's as good as new.

The new Allen range is pretty good, so I've heard.

Thanks both, hmmm I hadn't given the cushions a thought but I suppose they could always be bagged up and go in the garage over the winter months, I just fancy something a little more comfortable than our ordinary garden furniture ( which we will still keep ) as we spend much more time in the garden these days so may as well do it in comfort.

We have just passed on our big teak table and six chairs...and bought a small cast aluminium table and two chairs, from argos....of all places. Just the right size I wanted and they look very pretty. We couldn't see half our garden for the big chunky stuff!!!
We have another double seat outside the French doors, and fold up chairs and sun loungers in the shed for the "sunny days"
I did look at the big day beds..in the all weather stuff...but hubby started getting ideas

Suespud, I think you have mentioned before your garden is a play area. Daybeds are lovely for outdoor activity. !!

Most definitely not wishing to be awkward - but if you find a product, do be a little bit 'health and safety' and check the manufacturer's (or retailer's) website for details of what weight load an item can cope with.

Jo - we wrapped up the cushions in a double layer of plastic wrap and stored them in the loft over the winter. During the summer, we left them in place under the covers.

We bought a set of rattan garden furniture - round table with removable glass top, four armchairs with seat cushions, plus umbrella - two years ago. We leave it out during the summer with the chairs leaning on the table so they drain if it rains, and take it in for the winter. It still looks like new. Don't know if you're interested but it was bought online from gardenfurnitureworld.com. By memory we paid £499 for the set. They were efficient with delivery too. It's the brown rattan (wicker) with cream seat cushions.

Thanks for that Carole, I've only had a quick look but there are a couple of manufacturer names I recognise and I know are sold in one or two of the larger garden centres quite close to us so I will go and have a look and then compare prices as gardenfurnitureworld look very appealing and so much choice
