Capn Jack Sparrow

Unread post by Meg 50 »

many of you will remember capn Jack and his very special wit from the old forum.

Unfortunately he contracted cancer and we heard a few days ago that he died in March.

A Just Giving page has been opened in his memory - with all proceeds going to Cancer research:

I remember Jack and am so sorry to hear the news of his death. Was it mentioned at the time and I missed it or have you just found out. I do hope his family know he had many friends who are regularly on this site and all would be sending their condolences to them.

RIP Jack

no, he was missed on another site some time back and it was discovered he was poorly.

Then when he hadn't posted again for some time, contact was made with Mrs Capn a couple of days ago and it was discovered he'd died in March.

Thanks for letting us know Meg. I remember Cap'n Jack from the old P&O forum. It's sad when we lose a friend, albeit a cyber one.

RIP Jack

That's so sad, I'm sure he's going to be missed by all.

However - let's be glad that we knew him.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear this, I used to love reading his cruise reports, and his love for Mrs Captain was clear for all to see,

I think he was only in his 50's?

Really sad news.
