I had assumed that they'd increased the size of the goals?

Now 7-0. They are just superb this evening.

Hopefully we will have a Germany v Holland final with Holland winning to make Onelife happy.
On this form (even allowing for some woeful defending from Brazil) I cannot see anybody beating Germany.

Are you watching, England?

With their key players missing, I always thought Brazil would struggle to cope with Germany - but 5 - 0 down within 30 minutes?????
At least Brazil turned up during the second half - but they were still outplayed.

Absent zonal marking by Brazil's so called defenders, on that showing even the Mighty Rams would have beaten them ... I thought the Germans were good but not ' that ' good.

Their real test will be in Rio against a far better team and with much higher temperatures.

Too one sided for my liking

Moby
yes ,we would have quite easily beaten the Germans
however ,as we are not in the world cup, clue being in the name, then it is a moot point
but they did play well and showed that one man teams don't do well
shame England don't even have one man worth bothering about :o

Well l'm hoping you'll all get behind Holland tonight as keefys little punt is still in with a squeak......come on Holland.

Germany looked good last night both on the ball but more importantly off the ball which is why they made Brazil look so pathetic. One thing is for sure they won't get the same opportunities when they play Holland in the final.

Come on Holland.

The goals seem to have dried up and it looks like its going into extra time and probably penalties.

A very different match compared to last night's carnage. It's all very tight and could go either way.

I heard someone on the radio this morning say the most interesting thing about last night's match was him flicking through the channels to find something decent to watch! No, I'm not a football fan although we have watched the England matches (a bad memory), the Brazil match - yes that one - last night's match oh and the one where the Dutch manager changed the goalkeeper over for the penalties - now you've got to be impressed at that! I expect we will watch the final - on BBC - can't stand all the adverts on ITV. Not sure we will be watching on Saturday evening, we have a friend with us this weekend and she's certainly not football minded.

Was I being very English when I said to my husband that I thought Germany should have stopped their goal scoring once it got to 5 to make it less embarrassing for the Brazilians especially as they were the host country?

A game of two halves, unfortunately someone should have told Holland to play more in their opponent's half and less in tneir own. Boring or what?

Now l'm going to have to rely on the gee gees for some cruise spending money

Carole, you are just like my OH. She always feels sorry for the losing team and often asks what the other fans are chanting. When I told her (well, the gist of what they are saying!) she tells me it's not very nice to poke fun and take the mickey like that. I tell her that's the whole point!! I took her to a match once. She found it very noisy. As it was a 0-0 bore draw I thought the atmosphere was flat! She's not going any more.

Hi Foxy

Lady Jane constantly asks if she can come to football be me, but as of yet I've resisted.

I did say to her "what about the foul language?" and she said that they'll just have to put up with it.

Seriously, though I relish my 'bloke time'

We meet in the same pub at the same time and talk the same rubbish, week in week out.
Then have a good old moan all the way home because we were crap (again)

Love it

Barney, that's what us blokes like to do...............

I know it's sexist but I'm going to say it................

I can't stand that female football commentator who screeches every time the ball gets in the penalty area. Football excitement and a screeching female just don't hang together well. She gives me a headache!!!
