Tesco Club card coupons
Just received an e-mail from Tesco advising that some of my coupons will expire shortly and inviting me to check them out on their website, so I did only to find the link is timing me out.
Methinks that maybe I am not the only one receiving such e-mails and the extra activity is causing their site to be overloaded.

Absolutely David, I checked it out both via the link and via the clubcard site, both are timing out if you try to open your clubcard account.david63 wrote:Are you sure that it is actually Tesco site?

Re: Tesco Club card coupons
I've just had the same email John and can't get into my clubcard account, I was going to look more out of curiousity as I normally receive coupons through the post so I thought it rather odd.
I often use home delivery for wine orders and did wonder if it was something to do with ordering online.

I don't shop online and I received some vouchers through the post - the first one is for 09/07 to 20/07/14 for £9 off a £60 spend. After that they drop down to £6 off a £60 spend. I've also received the e-mail reminding me that the first one is about to run out of date. Times must be hard if they are reminding everyone. I haven't tried to get into my clubcard account as I don't intend using them. I also have a voucher for £5 off a £25 spend ending 23rd July for M&S and this morning I received a voucher at Sainsburys for £6 off a £40 spend to use by 21st July. Decisions, decisions - which one should I use.Dancing Queen wrote:I've just had the same email John and can't get into my clubcard account, I was going to look more out of curiousity as I normally receive coupons through the post so I thought it rather odd.

That's easy ... go to Sainsbugs and get a dozen bottles of Brancott's Sauvignon Blanc priced on offer at £6:50 per bottle x 12 = £78 less 25% discount for buying 12 = £58:50 - £6 voucher = £52:50 which is a bottle equiv price of £4:37.Kenmo1 wrote:... and this morning I received a voucher at Sainsburys for £6 off a £40 spend to use by 21st July. Bl***y Tesco clubcard. I only got the thing to shut up the checkout staff asking me if i had a card.
There you are in the queue and some idiot holds everyone up by bringing out 147 vouchers which then all have to be checked to see if they are valid.
Sainsbury's used to be OK with the Nectar points but now they have stanted using vouchers as well.

Hi davectr,
l have noticed recently that we are receiving more product saving vouchers.......apparently, the vouchers are matched to your most purchased items, therefore they can save you a couple of quid off your weekly shop. What l find frustrating is that the checkout staff think you can only take 'cash back' of £50 whereas you can actually take £100 back using your Club Card....this nesitates me having to wait until their superviser gives them the Ok.....now that l find frustrating!!
Regards
Keith

By the way the wine is normally £10 a bottle, it's an excellent New Zealand MarlboroughKenmo1 wrote:Phew, MoB - what with having to change my password a few minutes ago and now reading your sums, I've got a headache and that's before I start on all that wineManoverboard wrote:That's easy ... go to Sainsbugs and get a dozen bottles of Brancott's Sauvignon Blanc priced on offer at £6:50 per bottle x 12 = £78 less 25% discount for buying 12 = £58:50 - £6 voucher = £52:50 which is a bottle equiv price of £4:37.Kenmo1 wrote:... and this morning I received a voucher at Sainsburys for £6 off a £40 spend to use by 21st July. I've bought the Brancott SB it is indeed very nice, for any red wine lovers Tesco sell Rawnsley Estate a SE Australian Merlot priced at £10.99 but when on offer £5.49, I tend to buy online as it is often on offer even if it isn't in store.Manoverboard wrote:By the way the wine is normally £10 a bottle, it's an excellent New Zealand MarlboroughKenmo1 wrote:Phew, MoB - what with having to change my password a few minutes ago and now reading your sums, I've got a headache and that's before I start on all that wineManoverboard wrote:That's easy ... go to Sainsbugs and get a dozen bottles of Brancott's Sauvignon Blanc priced on offer at £6:50 per bottle x 12 = £78 less 25% discount for buying 12 = £58:50 - £6 voucher = £52:50 which is a bottle equiv price of £4:37.Kenmo1 wrote:... and this morning I received a voucher at Sainsburys for £6 off a £40 spend to use by 21st July. I managed to access my account this morning and the coupons referred to are duplicates of the ones already received through the post but as yet unused.

Re: Tesco Club card coupons
Another reminder e-mail from Tesco this morning to remind me coupon about to run out.
MOB - we think we recently had a wine from Brancott Estate and it had a definite taste of elderberries in it - it was certainly the first wine I have been able to sound like Jilly Goolden and recognise a very distinctive flavour. We all enjoyed it. We usually buy whatever is on offer and some can be quite 'watery' and we are often disappointed - I guess you get what you pay for.
I've also noticed that I have £5 worth of Sainsbury's points plus a 19p brand match voucher so that will all help.
No way will I take Onelife's suggestion and buy jelly babies - I would eat them all. Luckily, we only have wine on a Saturday evening as it sends me to sleep.

That has been the case for some time now - coupons sent through the post are also available to print off via your Clubcard account - unfortunately you cannot use them twice, like somebody in front of us tried to do onceDancing Queen wrote:... the coupons referred to are duplicates of the ones already received through the post but as yet unused.

I eventually managed to login to my clubcard account, however the oldest coupon I have does not expire until May 2015 so why they sent me the e-mail I have no idea.

Towny44 - Are you sure you have coupons expiring in May 2015? Are you not thinking of vouchers for the points you have accumulated on your card? I received the same e-mail and at first I thought it was referring to vouchers, which I usually save up and then spend when I have a decent amount, but then I realised the e-mail was referring to the coupons they send out regularly for extra points or money off certain items.
