MH 17

Unread post by jay-ell71 »

Just a moment to remember all those who died , all those who are left behind, and those who will for the foreseeable future be doing everything they can to identify the victims.

The homecoming is such a respectful and caring operation, the Dutch authorities are doing a wonderful job. "Closure" is a long way off for the relatives, this is just the beginning.

My thoughts go out to all the families involved. They will have to live forever with the question 'why'.

I have just seen another plane has gone missing on its way to Algiers.

161 passengers on board who will also have frantic families wondering what has happened.

Such tragedies.

A terrible thing and I agree I watched the homecoming and it was very moving to say the least.

These are terrible times, I was nearly crying last night seeing some of the children injured in Gaza, brought a lump to my throat.

It was SO dignified - and all the traffic, even on the motorways - stopping in respect

It was quite moving at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony last night when you could have heard a pin drop during the silence.

The impact of this tragedy is felt around the world with whole families and businesses wiped out. It is a terrible tragedy.
I was taught to be cautious

It's terrible - and really words fail me. What I am thinking about today is the awful waiting process that the families are going to have to endure, because there is always a possibility that not everyone will be found.

You just get that sinking feeling everytime you think about what the families must be going through.

So very sad.
