The Price of a Life

Unread post by Romig1 »

Just watching the tv news about the killing of an innocent student by a couple of druggies on a contract.

I'm amazed, astounded and disgusted that there are scum willing to take a life for the price of £1000 each. No price is ever acceptable of course, but what is our country coming to? :(

I don't suppose it was ever much different we just know about it now?

Possibly. Doesn't make it any more palatable though.

Yet it will cost us the taxpayers millions to keep ther scum locked up for the rest of their lives.

The scum were too thick to even get the right address.

If it wasn't so tragic it would be funny.

That's disgusting. No doubt we will spend thousands on them now on lawyers, psychiatrists, social workers to ensure they get a fair trial, even more money spent on their appeals process with much hand-wringing because they are junkies and more to be pitied etc.

Put them on the front line in Afghanistan and give our lads out there a break. I sometimes feel our prison system is a soft touch for characters such as this.
I was taught to be cautious

When you are not directly related or involved the price of a life is negligible .. you only have to look at Africa to see that.

No, sir, you are not alone. IMHO, political correctness is a cancer in our once-great society.

Society, as we once knew it, is as dead as a dodo.
