Don't know if it's too early to start this, but seeing as the fixtures are already out, then why not?

I had a shock when looking at Huddersfield's home matches for the season...7 whole games to be missed due to holiday commitments! :o

After a bit of chopping and changing of dates, I've managed to whittle that down to 4 :D

The final game of the season (which I usually miss, but could attend this year) is of course away!

Looked at the latest odds and Town are about 50/1 for the Championship title...think I may have to look at a handicap bet in order to have a chance!

Can I still join in?

It'll not be the same next season but should be quite interesting to see how we fare against the big guns. Who do you think are going to get promotion this time around?

Having unloaded Almunia and Cassetti who seemed to enjoy ' switching off ' in the final stages which resulted in a huge number of 90+ minute goals against us and the dropping of oh so many points ... add to that we have gained Dyer from OBF and best of all the 2014/15 season sees the return of Matej Vydra

Well .... we have to be in with a shout .... oui / non ?

League One looks considerably easier this season than it did last.

I expect the ones to watch will be Bristol City, Sheffield Utd, Peterborough, Doncaster, Preston, Barnsley ....
actually thinking about it, it doesn't look a lot easier than last season.

The bookies have us as one of the favourites to go down this season so I expect we'll be ok.

I must say that this seasons squad will be our youngest ever.
An average age of about 23 or 24.

Peter Taylor seems to know what he's doing so I expect to be joining you 'Big Boys' in the Championship soon.

How very understanding of them ! I know 'Uddersfield don't get huge crowds, but to rearrange their games around your hollibobs like that is lovely

Anyone interested in setting up a forum fantasy league ? Might cost a fiver or so each to enter but there are normally a few on offer ?

At last, it's here!

Town are at home to Bournemouth - last year we trounced them at home, but I suspect with the Lallana cash they have been splashing (3mill on a new striker for one!!) they will provide sterner opposition this time.

A win would be very welcome, as we have some tricky away games coming up where I doubt we'll gain many points.

Got my pre-season wager on Town... don't have enough confidence to back them for either the title or promotion so I've backed them on the handicap system, with a start of 26 points over the favourites! 18-1, with each-way bet of 1/4 odds for 1,2,3,4. Did the same last year, but needless to say didn't have to return to the bookies for any winnings.

Who is everyone else playing?

Good luck to all the CCers with teams starting their season today. We kick off next week against some team called Everton. :?

The best bit is not having to stay awake into the early hours of Sunday morning for 30 seconds goal time.

What are your predictions for promotion this year?

I am hoping that John Hendrie's prediction on Look North yesterday that Huddersfield was his pick for top Yorkshire team in the Championship is going to prove correct.

It will be interesting to see how Huddersfield fare now they have recruited Steve Thompson, whom I reckon was behind Blackpool's successful rise to the Premiership. Under several managers he was a common denominator and I was surprised Blackpool let him go so readily although it wouldn't surprise me if there weren't all sorts of underlying factors considering the summer they have had.

Unless Riga can make a last minute squad gel quickly they must surely be strong candidates for relegation.

Bournemouth looked good last year and played nice football. Eddie Howe seems to know what he is doing, and Derby look like strong contenders. I expect Wigan to do well under Uwe Rosler. Fulham look the more likely of the three relegated teams to bounce back. Only time will tell.

Who would be your pick Smurfyboss?

A good result for you Mob but I notice only 15,500 there. Where were they all? As for Huddersfield........................not such a good day. Not to worry, still 45 matches to go and 135 points to go.

Apparently Blackpool could only field 4 subs, including two youth team players. They're a club in turmoil so if the results have gone against you today, matters could be a lot worse.

15,500 is actually very good given that one quarter of the ground is still awaiting the completion of its new stand

OMG, I really hoped that last season's woes were behind us - apparently not! :(

An abject performance against a decent Bournemouth side....we are going to struggle big time this season if this performance is anything to go by.

Behind after 24 seconds without even touching the ball set the scene for a dismal showing. Chants of "you don't know what you're doing" to the home manager in the first game of the season does not bode well - I give Robins until October to turn it around... :( :(
