The draw is tonight MobyManoverboard wrote:Well, we won convincingly-ish 1:0 with 9 changes from Saturday's game against the muscle men of Stevenage thanks to a tap in by OBF's ex flying winger Lloyd Dyer.
When do they make the draw for the next round ?

After the match finishes. Extra time would mean a longer wait.Romig1 wrote:The draw is tonight MobyManoverboard wrote:Well, we won convincingly-ish 1:0 with 9 changes from Saturday's game against the muscle men of Stevenage thanks to a tap in by OBF's ex flying winger Lloyd Dyer.

We've got Donny, you've got Forest, OBF has the Shrews and Barney gets the Toons. All at home though ... MK Dons however have ManU

YEEES !!!!
Home to the Toon army.
Don't expect they'll bring that many, that far, but a near sellout anyway.
And (dare I say it) quite winable.
Still have preferred Man Utd though.
We've never played them. They've avoided us throughout their entire history.

Don't doubt the ability of the Toon Army to follow their club, Barney. Great draw for you - well done!barney wrote:YEEES !!!!

First home game of the season and a comfortable 2-0 win.
Home to Swindon Tuesday evening. The games come thick and fast down here in the basement
Good start for Foxy's boys. Gotta be happy with appoint from Everton.

Yep, very well done the Foxes
We had to play with 10 men for 87 mins so were always going to struggle to contain Norwich .... thanx Ref

Re: Football 2014/15
Just got back from a weekend down in Leicester. I didn't go to the match - too many Johnny-come-latelys jumping on the Prem bandwaggon so the diehards have a job getting a ticket now.
Not to worry, once the initial enthusiasm wears off there will be seats going.
Pleased with that result as an opener. Everton are a quality side so to get a point, and to be worthy of a point was encouraging. If we manage to stay up this season it will have been a good season although in the next two or three weeks we have Chelsea, Arsenal and Manu so a bit of a baptism by fire. Manu look to be a bit of a disaster waiting to happen at the moment so if we can get them out of the way quickly it will be a bonus. I can't see the big Dutchman putting up with that situation for long.
Not such a good day for the Hornets, the Hatters or the Terriers. The season's young yet but I see Barney's lot got a good home win and are up and running.
What happened to Watford Mob? That's a long time to be down to 10 men.

Re: Football 2014/15
I was just checking where Hudds have resided in the 42 yrs since our last relegation from the then 1st Division, we have had 15 seasons in the 2nd tier, incuding this new one, 21 in the 3rd tier and 6 in the 4th.
So I suppose if we were to be relegated we are really only reverting to type.

Well the Gunners huffed and puffed and got there in the end. Got 3 more points than this time last season.
Not convinced we are strong enough again to maintain the level needed to win the league but let's hope they give it a good go.
Bit of a mixed bag for everyone else...do the terriers need Tony Pulis?
Long way to go yet.

Re: Football 2014/15
After two minutes of play their winger, Nathan Redmond, tried to run past our very gentle Swedish Centre Back, Joel Ekstrand, but had the misfortune to be caught in the face by a flailing elbow ... if our man was using his arms to pick up speed as is the claim then the red card was very harsh but if it was intentional then he deserved to be sent off.oldbluefox wrote:... it seemed to me to be a decision made by a linesman who was conned given that Redmond would have had a broken nose ( if it was intentional ) rather than a girlie bruise.
ps ... Watford have announced that they are NOT going to appeal.

A lovely thought, re Tony Pullis - but not a hope in hell that we'd either afford him, or that he'd want to drop to a struggling Championship side.RB1961 wrote:Well the Gunners huffed and puffed and got there in the end. Got 3 more points than this time last season.

As always Romig it's down to money.
Wouldn't it be refreshing for someone of his ilk to drop down, take a pay cut and create something from scratch ala Herbert Chapman.

Re: Football 2014/15
As an ex Gills manager I can confidently confirm that Tony Pulis is only concerned with Tony Pulis.
He's a top drawer manager but could start a fight in an empty room.
He loves the money as well.
There is no chance of him dropping to the Championship.
He'll bide his time as he's extremely wealthy.
He got an additional £1 million bonus for keeping Palace up and wanted the same again this season.
Plus a cut on transfer fees. Greedy 'B'
When he fell out at Gillingham, it was all about money. His, not the clubs.
He'd cut a deal with Bristol City the day before he led us out at Wembley against Man City
BAAAAD Man !!

Crikey.
I don't like him either and Barney has just about summed up whats wrong in the modern game.
Anyway bit nervous about tonight's game. Just hope we are still in it for the return leg and injury free.
