However the motorbike is a different story. That gets my personal attention on a regular basis and though it's now four years old it is still pristine and is my pride and joy and I will miss it whilst we're off on Oriana next week.

Re: DO YOU CLEAN YOUR CAR YOURSELF?
We've got a really good hand car wash which I pass quite regularly and for a fiver they're even prepared to wash and wax my "Truck" and they give it a really good clean so as it was going in for a service last week and MOT this week I thought it was time for it's annual clean.

You can take bicycles on board, so long as you keep them in your cabin so maybe they'll let you take your motorbike !!prefdavid wrote:However the motorbike is a different story. Re: DO YOU CLEAN YOUR CAR YOURSELF?
A bit of both.
I clean it, even though I hardly ever drive the damn thing.
But if it gets to much cr*p on it, it gets taken to the hand/jet wash boys up the road. For £6 it's worth it, and they do a good job. All foreigners of course, so I don't even bother trying to strike up a conversation with them.

I treat mine to a car wash every now and then. I'm far too idle to stand out in the drive on a cold winter Sunday with a bucket and sponge

Re: DO YOU CLEAN YOUR CAR YOURSELF?
We used to have a car which enjoyed having a 'free valet' from the garage which supplied it - but on the down side the garage was a long way from where we were staying.
Now we just wash our own car with the hosepipe - plenty of splashing and larking about ..... I hold the hose as befits a person wearing boots and kippers.
ps - how do I get the smileys to work?

Wearing kippers while washing the car! Strange woman.
But no doubt popular with the local cats.

Don't all you peeps who don't wash cars that often, find your hands getting covered in dirt when touching the doors or lifting boot handle up?
Shocking to hear of not washed in a year or so! Poor car, go on make her nice and squeaky clean tomorrow!

Ingram, I get my valet to open the door for me
I will maybe make a special effort in the next few weeks and get the car washed ... if nothing else it will jog my memory as to what colour it is.

Re: DO YOU CLEAN YOUR CAR YOURSELF?
I have NEVER used one of these hand car wash jobs....until today.
I went to Sainsbo's this morning for some odds and sods and there were a group of Kosovans/ Albanians/ Swarthy foreign chappies doing a roaring trade. I thought I'd give it a go....and £5 and 15 minutes later...I am converted and am unlikely to clean my own car again.
Regards
