Roy Hodgson has his own Sound of Music moment, how does he solve the problem called Wayne Rooney, on tonights performance the new Captain could end up as a non playing one.

Welbeck came on and showed real desire. Rooney was poor, apart from the penalty which he absolutely nailed.

I wonder if Wellbeck will blossom now he's out of the shadow of Rooney & RVP

With Giroud out long term, he has a starting spot at Arsenal. He could make the position his own.

Congratulations, you're doing very well. There again, you haven't come to St Mary's yet ;)

Usually our friends in Southampton are pretty generous towards their Midlands mates. You are going well considering you lost half your team and your manager over the summer. I must admit I didn't expect them, or my own team to have such a good start.

It would be great to have a trip to St Mary's followed by a cruise the next day.

Not such a good result for Huddersfield losing to their neighbours from down the road. I bet that hurt, Romig. :(

Pity we can't play Man Utd every week. We looked flat today although their centre backs had a very good game and snuffed out everything. Well played to them.

I see Watford gave away a two goal lead and made a draw but Huddersfield won!!! At least Romig and towny will be happy tonight.

Not good for barney though. He can join me in drowning sorrows. Get 'em in, barney.

Jesus H Christ !!!

AGAIN !

How many points are we going to lose after 90 minutes this season.

To be fair, Sheffield Utd murdered us but to be one up with six minutes to play and lose 2-1 , questions must be asked in the house.

98th minute winner???
98 b*oody minutes and no injuries????
Who is their manager, Alex Ferguson?

And then Mrs Barney says, "I'm sure that they did their best"

Anyway, I'm calm now. Grrrrrrrrr!

Calm down. You could be a Blackpool supporter. Things seem to go from bad to worse there.

(But I know what you mean).

I've picked Derby for my Championship spread bet DK.

There is a local competition down here, where you pick one team from each division and the winner is the one with the most cumlative points come the end of the season.

£20 to enter and first prize is about £500.

They pay out first, second and third.

I've gone for Chelsea (yay) Derby (yay) Orient (boo) and wait for it ... Stevenage ?? (semi boo)

Anyway it's not about now, it's all about May and I'm hoping that my bad ones pick up.

All a bit of fun, a bit like the Dream Team.

We slipped up today, conceding a needless goal in injury time. We had enough of the play to have had it sewn up long ago but didn't make anything of our chances, gave away two silly fouls and paid the price. All credit to Burnley who never gave up and, on balance, deserved their point. For us it was two points dropped rather than one point gained. :(

Well not a good day for us.

After the midweek result I thought we would at least score but no. Don't think we had a shot on target.

Why did Arsene play orzil on the wing again?

Some good action off the pitch as well RB. Mourinho sure knows how to wind Arsene up doesn't he?

I hear Watford have (another) new manager. That's one a month so far.

I suppose Billy McKinlay had to go. The English would struggle to understand him so what chance did all the Italians stand?

"Come on you 'atters", and,

"We'll be running rings round watford, come next year" a chant I often heard at Kenilworth road.
