Sunday Night at the Palladium

Unread post by Dancing Queen »

This is the first time I have seen this since it started, in fairness I didn't watch it all as I was channel hopping between that and Strictly ( another disappointment since Brucie went :o )

What I did see was Jimmy Tarbuck ... didn't he used to be a comedian ?? certainly no evidence of that tonight

AND the 'Star Turn' Art Garfunkel ......

What can I say .. once a great singer but quite honestly I thought his performance was 'embarrassing' is this the best 'talent' ITV can come up with for Sunday Night entertainment.

We are/ were massive Simon and Garfunkel fans, but Art's performance tonight was nothing short of dire. Time he stopped I think.

I also thought Art Garfunkel was dire, but also thought the rest of the show was OK.

Also watched the X factor the results show tonight, missed it last night as we were on a family night out, only one winner as far as I am concerned and that's the Italian singer, nothing special about the rest.

Re our family night out (Lorraine/myself, Son /DIL, Daughter/Partner) nothing special Toby Carvery followed a night at Bingo, a few drinks and a good laugh. One of the games was a link roll over game, £1,000 to the winner plus £44,000 roll over, if won within 40 numbers or less. Somebody called up on 39 numbers, it was a false call, then on the next number somebody else called, and won total of £45,000, not bad for a night out.
Still our daughter won £9 at plus £28 in the pub after on the fruit machine.

I only saw Art Garfunkel whilst channel hopping. They should really have given him a lower key, sadly, he really struggled.

Blimey, I didn't even know this had come back.

Things haven't moved on very much from when it was on in the 1960's if Tarbuck and Garfunkel are still top of the bill
