Flabbergated! surely not.
Well did you ever? All that acrimony between you Hampshire people and us northerners regarding sailings from Liverpool when really some of you "were/are as thick as thieves"

Thick as two short planks to get involved in drugs Ray. I looked because I was expecting a major expose of a conspiracy by the Port of Southampton to buy the Liverpool cruise terminal; or even vice versa.
To be honest I admire you guys driving all the way down to Southampton for a cruise, negotiating the M5/M6 junction, or even a long coach journey. I had enough of that when I was in work and had customers all over the UK to visit. Now Southampton is as far as I will go to board a cruise.

Frank
Like you I no longer get any great pleasure from motoring, and night driving since I became bespectacled is something i try to avoid. Hence fly cruising is the lesser of the evils.

Actually, Frank, having done the coach journey from Preston a few times, it's really not too bad, if you treat it a bit like a sea day. Read, listen to music, do a spot of people watching, have a nap, listen to the talk on health and safety!.............and you are at Southampton before you know it. Stress-free and almost relaxing. I certainly wouldn't dream of driving. And, of course, we always begin with a day-cruise across the Irish Sea.Frank Manning wrote:Thick as two short planks to get involved in drugs Ray. You probably have more stamina than me; living on the IOM!
