That was the best SCD yet. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Even Judy did her best!!! However she wasn't good enough and she must go this week.

I agree Jay.

And what a Argentine Tango Simon performed.

I think Len and Bruno had spent a bit more time than they should have done at the bar though :D

I watched Strictly for the first time this series last night and thoroughly enjoyed it, I've made no secret of the fact that Claudia irritates the hell out of me or maybe it's Tess in the lead role that I find irritating ( although I quite like her ) I certainly found it more interesting with Zoe on board ( although the reason she is there is sad and I do wish Claudia's daughter a quick recovery )

Maybe it is just me but I do think the 'presenters' make or break it and as much as I love the programme I have had no interest, I'm sure I am in the minority but I do hope the BBC think again before next year.

Right ... I'll just go and put my 'tin hat' on

Get that tin hat on DQ :o

I'd actually stopped watching previously because of the cringeworthy style of Brucie.
Mrs barney loves it but always found 'something to do'

However, I love the new format with Tess & Claudia (when she's back)
Not over keen on Zoe Ball but she's an ok replacement for now.

Agree that Simon's Tango was stunning

It was like looking in a mirror .... except I'm not young or slim or fit or black or a very good dancer
but besides that .....................

What a coincidence Jo - last night was also the first time I watched the programme from beginning to end - I have just watched bits while changing channels - wasn't a fan of Brucie but Tess Daly just irritates me - can't really say why  I thought the dancers were exceptionally good last night with the exception of Judy Murray.

I can see I'll be joining you in the "bunker" Jo

Now Towny, why would anyone want to do that????

On the subject of the presenters, I love Claudia (so sorry about her daughter's horrible accident) and Zoe is great fun, but I find Tess irritating. Can't please all of the people etc.

I will be waiting for the Results Show, so don't anyone on here let the cat out of the bag.

Yes Stephen, Bruno did seem a little more hyper than usual; if that is possible.

Tess Daly irritates you because she's deeply irritating... Claudia and Zoe Ball would be terrific.

I cant see why everyone dislikes Tess Daly so much. We are happy with her.

It was a good show last night, but I think all the hype about Halloween, and Blackpool is unnecessary.

Agreed Frank. I thought it was because I don't care for the Halloween "celebrations", but dressing everyone in hideous outfits spoils the dancing for me. It is inappropriate

The only reason I ever watched SCD was Tess Daly. She's gorgeous.

I'm not a big fan of Zoe Ball. I think she is trying too hard to be funny like Claudia which isn't working for me. The quick wit just comes naturally with Claudia. I wish her a speedy return and like everyone else best wishes for her daughters recovery.

I think its probably that she reads the auto-cue faster than Zoe, you can tell from the jokey banter that it's the same script writer.

One less character in the show now. Wasn't Burly Chassis dreadful? You have to know when to stop singing.

We also noticed that Darcy's hem line was a bit more decent this week.

Well, Mrs Murray has gone and not before time although her dance this week was her best effort yet, even if it was two circuits of the dance floor with the same steps and a bit of acting to pad it out.

I agree it's time Burly Chassis called it a day. And whatever had she done to her hair? Whatever it was she looked dreadful.

Zoe and Claudia do ad libs, Tess just reads the script. Good result tonight, but I will miss Judy and Anton nevertheless, but she had to go. :)

I think the technical term is 'posh totty' Stephen. She comes across as a lovely character, and, just like you, a great mover (especially when Onelife is around)!!!

I thought that too Frank but I thought it was just me, I agree some of the once great singers need to know when to call it a day
