Once again we managed to turn a win into a draw in the last 30 seconds.

A soft, diverted shot in the 95th minute and the keeper managed to drop it into his own net.

Barney ... did you know that your Under 21 team were recently two up against the Hornets , bodes well for the future perhaps although the final score was 3:2 to our lot  .

Apart from the score it was a cracking match against QPR. However yet again our keeper was found out with his inability to dominate the 6 yard box and the forwards continue to struggle to put the ball in the back of the net from good positions. So now we are propping up the Prem. We were a good team in the Championship but in the Prem are still a bit raw and naive so it will be interesting to see changes Pearson makes in the transfer window cos at the moment we are not good enough.

Never mind, if we continue to struggle maybe I'll manage to get a ticket once all the plastic fans have deserted us!!

It didn't seem to be the best of weekends for any of us, except Frank's Luton.

Probably. The question is.................... which division?

The big plus of the Prem is the fact I can get a stream and can watch the match, but I still prefer the excitement of the Championship. (Maybe just as well!!)

Unlucky on the Foxes OBF.

They just can't seem to hold on to a lead.

I reckon Pearson will be in the market for a couple of central defenders come January.

On a better note ......

Magnificent win for the mighty Gills in the semi-final (southern) of the Johnsons Paint Trophy (I swear I'm not making it up) :D

Now a double header against the other southern finalist ( Coventry or Brizzle City) and then ...............

Another miserable weekend. We look naive and outclassed in the Prem. Clearly Pearson thought the players he had could make the step up and they haven't as yet. Indeed he will need to get the cheque book out this time but who will want to come to a club sitting at the bottom of the table? We looked better when we were down to 10 men. Perhaps that's the answer!! RB won't be happy either but how do you manage to beat Southampton and then lose to Stoke? :(

On a brighter note you'll be looking forward to a day out at Wembley Barney.
Meanwhile Romig will be a happy bunny as will Mob who racked up plenty of goals against Fulham. Deeney with a hat trick.

Another week without a point. We played well, had the best of the chances but not enough quality to make the most of them and were punished for a defensive error. Disappointing afternoon when we played so well against one of the top teams in the League although, in all honesty, if I said I was expecting anything out of this game I would be lieing. Just frustrating to play so well and come away with nothing.

Happy day for Mob and barney though, but I expect it will be a quiet night in Romig's household. And Frank won't be happy either.

A good win for you RB against a form team. That goal in midweek was a bit special eh?

Meanwhile we're (only) 16 points off Europe!!

Another blank Saturday but you can't go giving away cheap goals when you are playing the likes of West Ham away and hope to win. Dreadful schoolboy error from our left back gifted a goal although Downing's was something special. Nigel needs to have a word with Santa for three or four quality players. Spending 8 million in the summer and hoping to cope clearly is not working.

Happy day for Mob and Frank. Romig and barney can join me in sorrow drowning. :lolno:

Yep, we won  albeit with only ten men ( thanks to an idiot decision by the ref ) but there were some mixed results at the top of the Championship. There's only 5 points between the top six with many of them playing each other during the forthcoming Festive season .... will the Cherries hang on, they won't be playing the likes of Blackpool every game.

We were the worst I've seen us for many a match.

Both centre backs has a nightmare on the same day :(

Saw the Foxes on MOTD - Xmas came early for Andy Carroll

I wonder how many Leicester fans are longing for the glory days of the Championship, when they used to go home with a smile on their faces after a game.
Is the Premier League really the Holy grail of football for clubs like Leicester & Burnley
Just imagine if Bournemouth get promoted with a stadium that holds less than 12k

I say let the 'big boys' get on with it, spending their hundreds of millions, and real, true fans can get on with watching their real, true football.

I'd be quite happy to see them go to their Europa League. Then we could revamp the Prem, spread out the money across all the divisions, play the matches on Saturday afternoons, more televised matches from the lower divisions, cut out players' agent fees, etc etc.
My apologies; football's not run for the fans any more. It's ruled by TV rights and is a business as opposed to a sport. Thank you Mr Murdoch.
Personally I preferred the days when virtually any team could win the title. Nowadays you can take any one of five teams and with some certainty have found the winners, season after season. The rest are playing catchup in a race they cannot win. Consequently there is not much to get excited about apart from the occasional shock win.
Looking at the Championship this season it's wide open. Who would have believed at the beginning of the season that some of the smaller clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford would be challenging for the top whilst those who, not so long ago, were Premiership clubs but are struggling (Blackpool, Wigan, Reading). It's wide open, just as it should be.
I prefer a league where anything can happen, nothing is certain, which makes for excitement as opposed to a rather sterile, money-orientated setup where results are almost predictable. The one good thing about being in the Prem is being able to get a stream so I can watch the matches but apart from that I'm not impressed, even if we were not stuck in the relegation zone.

Well it's not all sky's fault.
Chelsea started the BIG money when the Russian took over. They were skint. Then the Arabs got hold of Man City.
Pre prem Liverpool dominated div 1 and manure (until the Russian) dominated the prem.
My team had to build a new stadium to generate enough revenue to compete. And we still can't.
I have never watched a championship game from start to finish and I don't think I will. Not because the football is crap but I just don't get the time.
I do think that Leicester and Burnley are doing the right thing and not buying players willy nilly on big money, yes you may go down but you will have kept your finance in order and not broken the bank.
I don't believe that any fans of any team would begrudge there team and there players the chance to compete with the big boys. Some of them are not all that.

Anyway we were crap today....I am not happy....I could be grumpy...however I am dopey

Love always

Frustrating day today. We played well in the second half, hit the post and the bar and both came out. They hit the post and it goes in. We had a couple of penalty shouts but sometimes Lady Luck goes AWOL. A good performance against a form team but nothing to show for it. :(

Well done the Gills. No joy for Mob but Arsenal did us a good turn beating 'Arry's lot and keeping us in touch with them.

I'd forgotten what it was like to get a win. Do you still get three points? We rode our luck today but it makes a change for Lady Luck to be on our side. Happy just to get the win.
A good day for RB, Mob and Romig who all get bragging rights over barney. I'm afraid you're on your own tonight barney for, although Frank's Luton seem to be dropping off the pace they did manage a draw today.
If it's any consolation barney, Bristol are going well (just trying to cheer you up bruv!!) ;)
