Logging on forum times

Unread post by Kenmo1 »

Is anyone else as sad as me? I find it fascinating to see the times listed that people put something on the forum - some at the crack of dawn and some very late at night. I had to look up UTC though to find out what it meant. We have some really early birds. Are they just getting in from work or have they just got up and are getting ready for work. Then we have some really late entries, way past my bedtime. I'm usually jumping in and out of the forum any time between 9am and 10pm. What is your usual times or does it vary from day to day?

I just occasionally notice that someone has been up at silly o'clock, and then I just think that maybe they've been up and about 'early' because they're off somewhere nice or going somewhere special - or that they have been to one heck of a party, and then I hope that they've had a really good time.

I'm regularly up at silly o'clock and usually read the forums, I don't always login unless there is something I want to reply to

I pop in and out throughout the day, but as a frequent insomniac, I can often be here - or elsewhere on the iPad - at any time of day or night. I am often in bed playing Mr Word at 3am!

I am an early riser and am often on the site at 05:30 till about 06:00 then again after 4 pm. Not working today so will nip in and out regularly. Always in bed early so never a late night poster.

I tend to dip in and out during the day and evening. Wouldn't be on here early morning or late night as computer is in bedroom and I would disturb other half.

Depending which shift patterns I'm normally working, I can often be on here at differing silly o'clocks, at the moment though it's more of a conventional time-scale.

...and I thought I was mingling with a bunch of insomniacs !

For the most part, I tend to be on-line during the working day when I spend most time in front of a pc. I try to avoid computers whilst "off duty" whenever possible !

I am usually on early in the morning since I am an early riser and regularly have to catch early flights ... might be on at lunch time and in the late afternoon as I finish work. Not on that much in the evenings though .. but that would depend on what I have on (activities .. not clothing).

Surely the fact that we are all different with differing life styles that we use this forum

Weekends I rarely log in as I am busy at the Tivoli Theatre for three days

I do enjoy popping in to have a "look see", rather browse than post

As I normally do not have a set bedtime, I can pop in anytime from 10am and 1am the following morning. Sometimes when 1 cannot sleep, I may have a look in during the night.

There are others who may work nights, who could be posting and others who live in a different time zone , to this country.

I know of a poster who tends to limit their times of posting on forums, to a set time in the morning and evening.

I get up around 5am most days for work and, if I'm so inclined, I do log on to the site. On other occasions (like middle of the night posts) it's because I can't sleep so have logged on to have something to do!!

On A Thursday and Friday it's early evening, the rest of the time it's likely to be in the afternoon.

However, now I've got the iPad I might have another look just before I go to bed, and post something if I've got something to say

Having put the original question on, I have found myself logging on here at 5.34 this morning. Having woken at 4.30 am and not being able to get back to sleep due to my mind making lists in my head about moving house next Friday, I finally got up at 5 and made a cup of tea. So does that qualify me as an insomniac. Next question - am I the first person on here today?

I think you probably are Kenmo, I was up at a similar time but didn't come online until about an hour ago and then I've been replying to e-mails so I'm only just catching up with the events of last night.

Goodness I don't envy you moving house, so much to think about but you know what they say "it'll be alright on the day" :D :D
