On the first day of Christmas....

Unread post by Onelife »

Three pairs of socks, two pairs of pants, wrist watch mended and a box of liquor assorted chocolates.....

So what did you get on the first day of Christmas?

Happy Christmas one and all.

Regards

Keith

That sounds so pretty - does it have the traditional intricate inlay on it?

Merry Yuletide.

Someone else been to the "marble factory" in Agra.

Technically it is not "Taj Mahal" marble (if it was there would be holes in the Taj!) but marble from the same area that the marble for the Taj came from. We came back with four elephants and a table.

It must have been a mite crowded in your cabin, sharing it with four elephants. :o I trust you gave the steward a generous tip - they will certainly have earned it!! :)

Sounds like the old "how do you get four elephants in a mini" joke

My brother bought me a fabulous book; 'Memories of a Cowes Born Lad' by Harry Guy.

We stuffed ourselves stupid at Splinters Restaurant Christchurch, where i had a Celeria, Apple and Stilton soup with walnut cream. Honestly it was to die for; it was so subtley delicious.

Happy New Year everyone.

it's 2" x 1½" x 1" high - white marble with colourful inlays. very pretty , totally useless even though the lid comes off, but JD was in Agra a couple of months ago and couldn't get the salesman to shut up unless she bought it!

It'll live in the display cabinet with other trinkets of sentimental value

From our Daughter theatre ticks for the local Everyman to see "12 angry Men" in March. Looking forward to it.

Also Villeroy and Boch cups and sauers from our son. How lucky are we? I bought the OH a Dremil drill and he bought me tokens to spend in the dress shop with an Eight in it.

Hope you all had a lovely day.

Christmas part one - a modeller's mini drill, world map covered with scratch-off paint to reveal the places you've visited, and a bottle wine.

Christmas part two on Monday...

Be careful Jay, Stephen will be wanting to borrow it for his trip to Strictly ;)

Rita - have a great time, we saw the show in Cardiff a few years back and they really do put on a brilliant performance.

Thank you DTM, I'm sure we will. This will be our second show in less than a month. We went to see Andre Reiu at the LG Arena last week and really enjoyed it. That was a birthday present to ourselves.
