Have not been on for a while, wondered what had happened when I visited the site and was asked to log in, did not reconise the page. Having now logged in hope it will now rectify the problem I have been experiencing for a while, of having to log in each visit, even although I never use to log out.

Trying to work my way around the new format, posting a photo of Brittania to see if you can still add photos to a post.

I like the new feature where you get first and last post shown when hovering over the thread name.

how do you insert photos, Delboy?

Is it still only possible if you have them on a hosting site, not from your stored pics on your comp?

I also like that feature, much easier than going back to OP, No.1 and scrolling through lots of pages, BUT is there also a way to access just 'new posts 'since my last visit please?

I assume this is still available for uploading photos to your gallery? If so is there a link to attach a gallery photo to a posting?

I'm not finding it as easy to navigate around....

Maybe it's just me, but when I enter a thread, and click on "post reply" the full monty comes up with emoticons et al, but once I've gone to the last message, there's a "quick reply" box - can we not have the full editor by default?

Well Done David,
Really like the new look. It's easy to find your way around and has brightened up the pages. Makes it easier when you get to that age where there never seems to be enough light on a page.

Sorry Shiney, I found it easier than the old application. I know they didn't have anything like this in those old "Pers. Admin.' days though. :(

Pers Admin, June? I started off as Clk Sec!

No, what I meant was that, on the old board, you click on the home symbol and the whole range of categories came up. Now it looks like you have to drill down various layers to get to where you want to be.

Hi Shiney,
Alan, Try clicking on the house, it takes you back to a page where on scrolling down I think all the old topics are there.

OH started as Admin. App. Now he's just become OAP.

Quick links - "New posts" or "Unread posts"

Gallery not working yet

Not sure what you mean - but I can remove the Quick reply if necessary (but it would be for everyone

Hold your mouse over the "Board index" and the next level will be displayed and so on.

Gosh, I must be improving, I finally managed to get back in.

I am still working out what to press to get anywhere but I love the 'new look'.

Morning David,

This may have already been mentioned.

Using the site with my desktop PC I can click on the 'Board Index' icon and then access the sub menus, but not on my iPad. I click on the 'Board Index' icon and the 'Forum' drop down menu appears and that's all, no sub menus.

Go on say it..........
it's a problem with older iPads

June, David, thanks for your responses. I was aware that that is now how it is done, it just doesn't seem as efficient as the previous version.

There should br a block with three lines on it - click on that and all will be revealed - it is designed like that so that it can work with all types of devices

............
some forums (fora?) let you upload direct, not via a piccie host - by clicking browse which takes you to 'My Pictures'.

This one we either have to have a piccie host or we have to upload to the gallery and then link to there from the post which is a performance and why I don't have many piccies herein ( now some may say that's a good thing.....)

Haven't had a chance to try my Android devices, but does this upgrade get rid of the annoying Tapatalk screen that keeps appearing?

I haven't tried it but this version should not need Tapatalk - unless you want to use it for convenience
