We watched the one on Amazara last night and were disappointed to see hardly anything of the ship itself.

Looking at the website Stephen kindly posted, I found a cruise from Southampton to Leith for $4,999. That's roughly £3,600. Take off the included tips at the P&O rate, and a few quid for our drinking habits, it's still a fare way out of our reach.

I've only just found out about this programme and I can't see that it is available on catch up. But I have set it to record for the one on Silhouette. I'll be very interested in that one as I've actually been on her (LOVED IT!!).

Just got round to watching the Azamara programme. We found the programme quite interesting, especially as we'd been to Bangkok and Saigon (land tours) and Halong Bay with RCI.

I've noticed that an episode in a couple of weeks features the Marco Polo. Should be interesting to see that one as we were on Marco Polo just before Christmas. I wonder whether they will mention Marco's previous life as the Alexander Pushkin almost 50 years ago?

Still wondering about the shower in the Reflection suite on Celebrity! I've got a list of daft things I want to do - like finding out (and maybe actually doing this) if people are allowed to go on the forward bit of the prom deck on Ventura which is absolutely right at the pointy end (brill for photos I suspect).

Well I watched the program last evening, and enjoyed it. Obviously there's been a bit of interested discussion about the ship here, and so we recorded it, and will review it soon.

I loved the part where the chap went down inside an azipod - and I was also impressed by the extra effort made by catering staff to make menu changes. However, I did think that these passengers were a bit much - saying that food in the buffet needed changing. For crying out loud, they've got feet so why don't they go to a different venue (unless of course they couldn't afford to).

A very interesting program, and looking forward to trying Eclipse.

The sceptic in me wonders how much is laid on as extras and played up because of the camera crew being on board with these types of programs.

We enjoyed the programme but probably wouldn't book a cruise on Eclipse on the basis of what was screened.

As for the buffet food ... I was not at all impressed that he actually needed to be told about the lack of variety, that's his job for goodness sakes !!!

We watched and found it ok, but probably wouldn't rush to book on the basis of what was shown. Not saying never, but we weren't overwhelmed and certainly wouldn't rush.

I thought that the Chef shouldn't have had to be told by the passengers that the Buffet was a bit boring. And then he produced some elaborate display of fish which, to me looked like exactly that, a display, not something to eat!!
Although we have enjoyed this series, last night's offering seemed to be more of an advertising campaign on behalf of Celebrity than a documentary.

I find the commentary quite annoying. It's constantly hinting that something dire is going to happen, and it never does.

Well I've just watched it again. I think that the complaint about the buffet being boring (or whatever) was something dreamt up by the tv people - firstly they had only been at sea about 3 days before this arose, secondly people have feet and can use other eating places, and it gave the chef a chance to show off.

It hasn't put me off one bit, I'm looking forward to trying out this class of ship.

I haven't watched it yet, but the buffet on Celebrity is far more interesting than on P&O. Much more choice, and at breakfast, eggs, various types of eggs benedict and omelettes cooked to order, toast exactly when you want it so hot and fresh, freshly carved gammon ham. Tea and coffee brought to the tables at breakfast. We had no complaints when we were on Silhouette last September.

Well! having cruised on its sister ship the Eclipse, the programme did nothing to change my negative view of Celebrity or perhaps just their Solstice class ships.

Well I think I've made a decision not to go on the short outing in May, but to do one only a little bit later; but slightly longer.

Still looking forward - we've gone through several videos done by passengers (You Tube etc), and as we feel those are more honest than what is produced on television (passengers don't have any hidden agendas etc) we are looking forward to Eclipse.

Goodness Em all these cancelled cruises must be costing you a fortune unless you can transfer the deposits although that still incurs a charge I believe.

TBH I think you can listen to other peoples views too much, the only way you will find out is to try it which you have said you will at a later date.

Ray wasn't that impressed and I think Mervyn and Trish said the same, Towny thinks Celebrity are wonderful .. as I do and Wolfie enjoyed her cruise as well, it doesn't make any of us right or wrong we have obviously all had different experiences.

I remember so looking forward to going on Arcadia and had read lots of excellent reviews about it .. I hated every minute but that was just my opinion, many would say it is their favourite ship .. I couldn't say one good thing about it but there you go

We haven't watched it yet but the comment regarding the food in the buffet being boring is far from accurate with regards to Eclipse. There were FGS, at least 6 choices of Eggs Benedict, (English, German, Mexican,Scottish, etc),English/American/Canadian breakfasts, omelettes and eggs any way you like, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit in copious amounts and so on it goes.

Lunch was another extravaganza, and we went a few times in the evening; freshly made sushi, great joints for a roast and so much more. Puts any P&O or Cunard buffet to shame.
