No I agree about meat and fish - though as a veggie it doesn't apply to me. Our fridge also has 3 special drawers for keeping fruit and veg better. In fact, everything seems to keep better in there.

We dont drink any kind of alcohol much when not cruising, or holidaying. Not much more when cruising, but we try to eat healthily and we cook fresh at least 5 days a week, and often all seven days. We dont plan much more than three or four days ahead, but we do have certain recipes which are repeated quite often.

On our way back from the airport at 23.00 one year we decided to call in at the 24 hour Tesco superstore to get a carton of milk and a loaf of bread so we could have a cuppa when we got back and some toast next morning. We came out with two vacuum cleaners and other household bits and spent £458.00 it was the dearest cuppa I had in my life but our son and daughter were each moving into their own accommodation and were both in need of the vacs.
Now I have lost count of the times Cheryl has gone to the shops for a couple of essentials and come back loaded with bags, just a few things for the grandkids she will say.

We don't drink that much at home either Frank but tend to go for it on holiday, on our previous cruise on Arcadia we opted for the wine package and had a bottle of wine at dinner every night for 23 nights plus drinks pre dinner and pre theatre and we couldn't resist the cocktails at sailaway parties.Frank Manning wrote:We dont drink any kind of alcohol much when not cruising, or holidaying. On our next cruise on Azura we intend to have wine by the glass at dinner and skip a few drinks in bars, got to keep the units down haven't we?
I will let you know if we stick to it.
