Copying and "the finger"

Unread post by suespud »

Ok I have to ask....
When on my iPad..if I copy anything..using my finger on the screen.. I hold that finger up in the air..as if the "copy" is attached to the end... and dont use it until I have "pasted"it onto whatever I am doing,
only then will I use that finger again. I have seen me be interrupted and still hold the finger up in the air if I need to answer the phone etc...

Please tell me I am not the only one who does this

So long as you don't lick your finger between copying and pasting (depending upon what is being copied, of course), you should be OK !!

I've got a sneaky feeling she's giving us the finger............the bi***

Sue, try using a stylus pen, they're much better than your finger and don't leave marks all over your screen.

This is not at all unusual in residential establishments for the bewildered, as well as a ' copy ' finger some have been observed to occasionally have a ' cut ' finger :moresarcasm:
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

lololol Honest I am not joking... thats what I do.
Stephen..I have problems with my fingers..they dont work very well now.I find the stylus too thin on my phone. Unless of course I could get a big fat chunky stylus...
I do have a keyboard for my iPad, but dont know how,or if it is possible to copy and paste without touching screen, I dont have a mouse..or a little knobbly thing..like used to have on laptop.

Sue I do exactly the same, in fact if I need to change screen, I will actually use a DIFFERENT finger to swipe, so that my copying finger is untouched! Each time I do it, I think how crazy I'm being, but I simply can't do any other way!

I'm going to start wearing gloves on my iPad!!

Actually I find the touch screen hard to live with. You only have to touch it and suddenly the whole screen changes and something you don't want turns up, or you get adverts you didn't want, or suddenly it all goes blue and wants you to copy and cut, or it autofills when you don't want it to. Give me a keyboard any day.

That old chestnut Foxy. We all know what you've been looking at, and I bet they're blue as well
