Oldbluefox - you don't like middle lane hoggers - but what if the inside lane is lorry lorry lorry, why do people keep bobbing in and out of the inside lane to pass one lorry, go back to the inside lane, then have to come out again to pass another vehicle, drives me mad, if you can see the inside lane is quite busy and you are gaining on traffic in the inside lane, then surely it is better to stay in the inside lane, doing the speed limit than bobbing in and out of the inside lane?
If it will take more than 10 seconds to pass the next vehicle in the inside lane, you should move back in.

Ditto apart from the last qualifier - I don't like adults who swear. Period. Mind you, even little kids swear their heads of these days :(

well today on the M42 and M5 has been an object lesson in why some people shopuld never ever ever be given the right to drive
people on phones, talking, texting, etc
women putting on make up whilst driving
snail racing , two lorries trying to overtake another on a long hill
old giffers doing 30 in a 60 and 35 in a 50
lane hoggers
speeders
headlight flashing
horns blaring
people eating and drinking at the wheel in the outside lane

the only thing I didn't see was anyone having sex, whilst the soddin dog drove the car

Ohhh I must admit to being guilty of giving a grandchild a banana (already priced) before buying them or a fruit shoot whilst sitting in the trolly seat !!!
I think this is relatively normal, I always used to do it - as long as you pay for the goods before leaving the shop I don't see what's wrong - and for those that perhaps don't pay before leaving then there are cameras that will no doubt have picked them up - it's sometimes needed when keeping child occupied whilst shopping - people would soon have something to complain about if the child was bit hungry and started crying/screaming!

Cruise directors whop insist on telling me what a wonderful time I am having ... or insist on a standing ovation for an act (a standing ovation is meaningless unless it is spontaneous).

David, I never log out and I get a great many notifications every day!

It's not a major issue and not worth you looking at - you've done an excellent job with this site and I thank you once again.

Kind regards

Quite right too. It's not too difficult to say "hang on a minute, I'm at a checkout, I'll call you back"

My pet hate - packaging that you cannot get into, especially toiletries that you are tying to open in the bathroom when you don't have your glasses on

I hate that blister-packaging that is unopen-able without a sharp implement, with which you invariably cut yourself! :x

Even worse are patients who insist on answering their mobiles while in the middle of a medical/ nursing consultation - extremely bad manners!

Even worse for me are checkout staff talking to each other  it happened to me & when I looked at my receipt I'd been charged twice for one item ... I went to Customer Services & reported them

But to be fair to Wina...she did put a couple of quid in the poor girl's cap when she saw her begging on the street a few weeks later!

I was sooo cross because they weren't paying attention & I'd been charged twice :(
I've had the same treatment in other shops when I'm being served & if another member of staff has a problem the one that's serving me breaks off & starts to help them instead of waiting till they've finished my transaction

Actually I've noticed that I'm getting more outspoken as I've got older, I used to be extremely shy when I was younger & wouldn't say boo to a goose

I agree with this! Or talking on the phone about 30 seconds after being asked not to use it in the clinical area - I think people think if they are hiding behind a screen the nurses cannot hear them!
