A New Royal Princess

Unread post by Dancing Queen »

No not a cruise ship

I've just turned the TV on to catch the early evening News to be greeted with the news that Kate and William are the proud parents of a new Princess.

What lovely news.

And the best thing is that it has overshadowed the General Election fiasco.

One of the crowd outside the Lindo suggested Alice Diana Elizabeth. What aggravates me is the media still keep calling Katherine Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Dont the stupidos know anything?

Now Frank - since when has the media allowed facts to get in the way of a story?

Why do the media always go out of their way to interview any odd bod they can find. It makes you worry for the future of mankind.

The eccentris are wonderful though. Last night they showed a group of ladies holding up placards saying 'It's a girl!!' I said to my wife, I bet on the other side it says 'It's a boy!!!'
I was taught to be cautious

Yes we just watched a "documentary" (I use the term advisedly! ) by Sky News, and we both said why on earth do those silly women waiting outside Buckingham Palace have to shriek when the Royal notice of birth is pinned to the gates? Dont the media ask stupid obvious questions? We both agreed that for some 'people' it's just an excuse to show off in public, by wearing stupid union jack suits. Bah Humbug!

...and 'Rule Britannia'? Dont get me started. The song should be banned. It's over guys. We are a former imperial power in serious decline; time to get real and plan for the new world.

It made me smile when a couple, who were not the Cambridges, came out of the Hospital with their new baby, to be confronted by the world's press.

A lovely moment!

How did the Duchess look so wonderfully glamorous only 12 hours after giving birth.. All new mothers should have the services of a beauty therapist and hairdresser on the NHS. It would be a real boost to their morale!

Charlotte Elizabeth blend well together and adding Diana is a kindly way to remember William's mother. Will the Princess be Lottie or Charlie?? The Royals are great ones for diminutives.
Unfortunately now the TV news is full of the Election again. Still it will soon be over. Thank the Lord. But not until all of us have put our X on the paper of course.

I was pleased she held on until 2nd of May, as the 2nd was my dad's birthday.
It was a nice diversion from the election campaign, but it's business as usual now
