Good to see another convertAdmiral of the Humber wrote:I have NEVER used one of these hand car wash jobs....until today.
I went to Sainsbo's this morning for some odds and sods and there were a group of Kosovans/ Albanians/ Swarthy foreign chappies doing a roaring trade. I thought I'd give it a go....and £5 and 15 minutes later...I am converted and am unlikely to clean my own car again.

Re: DO YOU CLEAN YOUR CAR YOURSELF?
Mine went through the Sainsbug's drive-through yesterday. I elected the cheapy "Express-Wash" which was supposed to include a wheel-wash as I think that dirty alloys look terrible and shiny ones make the whole car appear cleaner.
When I got back to work I was non-too-pleased to see the alloys have hardly been touched!

I have to use steps if I wash my car but usually find someone to do it for me...
In relation to scratches, many years ago I inadvertently got some scratches on the works car and my boss told me to get some duraglit and rub them out, believe it or not it worked...

Re: DO YOU CLEAN YOUR CAR YOURSELF?
Out of interest I noticed on FB someone posting saying they had used the "park at our house" & they cleaned the car before they came back.

That's 'cos it's a very mild abrasive, like T-cut.jacksparrow wrote:I have to use steps if I wash my car but usually find someone to do it for me...

If you scuff a black/grey plastic bumper, spray it with WD40
