Help with Windows Live Mail
Windows 7 64bit.
Earlier this morning I was deleting a file from a storage folder in Windows Live Mail, but for whatever reason the whole folder suddenly disappeared. I cannot find this deleted folder anywhere. I don't have 'Backup' setup so no point me looking there.
I have tried getting information on the web without any success.
Any ideas anyone please

Stephen, try running a google search for 'windows live mail recover deleted folder' ... hopefully there should be something useful in there.
I don;t have any experience with it but is there a 'deleted folder' in which case your folder may be in there.

Re: Help with Windows Live Mail
I managed to download a bit of software that recovered the files in the end. But looking for information on this, it seems it is a common problem with Live Mail.
Thanks for the replies though.

Don't you just love all things computery? I hate the bl**dy things when they do what they want and not what you want them to do. They are definitely taking over the world.
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.

Keechy, I would recommend a large hammer to be placed in close proximity to the pooter. I find that threatening it with a good pasting usually makes it buck it's ideas up.Keechy wrote:Don't you just love all things computery? Re: Help with Windows Live Mail
Romig, try to have a little decorum and finesse ... the natural order of events to solving any computer problem is
1. swear at it
2. bang the desk
3. bang the keyboard and smash the mouse down on the desk
4. repeat steps 1, 2, 3 together
5. hit the side of the screen
6. turn it off
7. turn it back on
8. swear a bit more as it is restarting
Some would argue that only points 6 and 7 have any real effect but I find all the above are required to successfully put the computer in its place.
