Reads like it was a good game last night....Watford must have thought they had done enough to win the game, but a great comeback from Palace. Grandad came off the bench and did what he does best.

I'm not feeling too optimistic about today's game.....loads of first-teamers out of the reckoning - down the spine of the team mainly too. I'm hoping that James Vaughan will have recovered from his concussion last week - otherwise we may only have Big Alan Lee as a recognised 1st team striker...and he constantly treads the thin line of getting booked/sent off. :( Probably not the best time to be playing the league runaway leaders. :o

Mind you...it would be typical Town to get a good result today....although the bookies don't have any confidence in them...(3/1 against a home win).

Palace were awful for the first fifteen minutes.....Constantly giving the ball away, we also defended like schoolboys even Barnet or Rochdale would have scored against us....Watford should have scored more. But we are gracious and kind and after allowing Watford a two goal lead we decided to play....after that there was only one team in it and we came away a little disappointed that we didn't win...Palace fans were awesome, even when two goals down they never stopped singing...I am a little 'orse this morning..Don't think there were any Watford fans there...didn't hear them anyway....

Can't make up me mind where to go today, Barnet, Leyton Orient or Bromley...decisions, decisions.

Can't believe it. We get a well-deserved point against Cardiff and still end up closer to the relegation places! :x

Peterborough, Bristol and Barnsley seem to be finding some form at last. :(

Great performance by the Terriers today. I did predict (on the HTAFC FaceBook page) a return of at least a point today.

Thank goodness I didn't mention anything about Hornets and Eagles. With the Terriers doing the business against Cardiff we had a good chance of closing the gap.......... and fluffed it!! It's no good creating chances if you don't put them away. All credit to Peterborough. Gutted!!

I suppose 'Uddersfield will dump us out of the cup on Tuesday now.

Mind you it made my day when I got up this morning and the Millwall team were staying at our hotel so I had a good natter with some of their entourage - did a bit of scouting.
And they lost as well!!!

Foxy, I bet we do beat your lot on Tuesday, as I am away next weekend and will miss the potential home game against Wigan :(

We're off to see Wina's daughter (as it's her 40th) and had planned it partly around an away fixture! :(

I wouldn't be too bothered if we went out of the cup especially with Mob's crew of Italian immigrants breathing down our backs.

Actually I shouldn't be too surprised we lost to Posh today. They seem to make a habit of beating all the top teams. Vindictive little b******ds!!

Foxy, whereas Leicester will probably rest some of their players in the cup again, we are pretty much down to the bare bones in many departments, so will likely field a similar team to that which played today.

Could be a good game...and I see the price has been reduced to £10. Still won't entice me to go though.

Your bare bones did a pretty good job today. Hopefully there will be one or two who deserve a lengthy run in the team. At £10 a time and your lot putting on a good performance today hopefully you will have a decent following.

At least you don't sell your best player and have him loaned back to you for the rest of the season - unlike some............ :silent:

Just watching the Football League Show...Malkie Mackie said it was, for them, a definite point won. :)

JTD
Never heard of this Pochettino chap before and thought Soton were mad in letting Nigel Adkins go but he has certainly had the Midas touch if you look at how they played against the two Manchester clubs. City were pretty dire though, considering the players they can put out.

Thank you Southampton ! And well done ! Now the Reds just need to win today to take advantage of City's blip but a 'weakened' side may be fielded to save some players for the titanic match midweek against Real Madrid.

Watford should have been four up in the first 30 minutes, our star man missed two and got taken off for his troubles ... but all credit to Palace, what a come back.

Good old Kev

So we dropped two points, as did Palace, but all the others lost so a great result after all

We're still tracking you Foxy, on equal points now ... oo-er

You can have a 'soft' goal, a 'poxy'/spawny goal (meaning how the hell did that go in? So much for fielding a 'weakened' side - NOT - but credit to Everton today, like terriers after the ball, but United hung on. Bring on Real Madrid !

I thought that Van Persie was very lucky to score today...his finish after rounding the 'keeper was pants and the covering defender really should have kept it out.

I thought Van Persie's goal was similar to the one Aguero scored, quite an acute angle, I was out of my seat way before it went in, I think I was trying to blow it in LOL, mmmm Real Madrid, we'll have to nobble Ronaldo somehow ....... there's only one Ronaldo! as they used to sing, he plays on the left, he plays on the right, that boy Ronaldo makes England look sh*te - what's all this about extra time ????? how very dare you? that little gem should now go to City who scored twice in extra time to bag the Premiership last season !!!
