One for Keefy here.
21 years ago today, I witnessed the most impressive performance I have seen on a racecourse with Lochsong winning the Coventry. Fantastic horse - and the memory stays with me

Re: Royal Ascot
Hi qb....without doubt one of the speediest fillies ever to grace a race course...going from handicap company to champion sprinter in the space of a couple years she has certainly earnt her place in racings hall of fame.
She passed away last year at the ripe old age of 26.
On a personal note after five fantastic days racing I ended up with a £111 profit...unfortunately my wife went shopping this afternoon... came down stairs asking if I liked it?....through gritted teeth I said... 'yes darling its lovely' squeak! Squeak!
Regards
Keith

Re: Royal Ascot
Had a great time watching Ascot on the TV. Admittedly was most interested in the fashions, particularly hats as we have a family wedding later this year. It's amazing how much knowledge you pick up about the various trainers and jockeys and I found it quite exciting. I think Clare Balding does a fantastic job commentating - its great to have someone who actually knows what they're talking about instead of someone who is just "a presenter". I didn't think Channel 4 did as good a job as the BBC who used to show it but then they didn't have to keep stopping for adverts. I also thought whoever it was who talked about the for the BBC was much better to. Didn't have a bet on anything - just as well as other than going for the favourite each race I wouldn't have had a clue. I heard that the bookies lost a lot of money on Ryan Moore - one bookie said that the housewives would keep betting on him regardless of which horse he was riding, and he would keep winning!
