No he's quite right Batty. Mrs Krankie's lot got less than half the votes of UKIP and 56 times as many MPs. We need full UK proportional representation then we'll never hear from her or McShrek again.

2 things

Firstly: Towny do not include me in the same political breath as Comrade Onelife, as you have no idea of my political leanings or for who and how I vote

secondly: Keefy stop bl**dy moaning about the Government, they won a democratic election and now have a majority in the House, all be it a slim one, if you were on that sort of money and got a 10% pay rise you would be happy as a pig in sh*t.
Hey Batman...If I was on their kind of money I wouldn't be on this forum taking such sh*t from you that's for sure..Kappow!! :sarcasm:

Lets get one thing straight the only reason this load of egoistic plonkers are supposedly running the country is that they frightened the electorate about what would happen should that lady up north get her foot in the front door...no more no less...basically they got there by default.

Anyway I'm painting the outside of my telephone box at the monent so bugger off and let me get on with it  .

Hi towny,

Thinking about it Yes l do think they get paid to much, especially if you compare their wages against nurses who have the lives of their patient in their hands not to mention teachers who have our childrens education and firemen who put their lives on the line.

Keith, methinks thou doth exagerate too much, although nurses and teachers do a good job, IMO they don't require the same qualities that are needed to be govt. ministers.
However I do agree with Foxy there are far too many of them, especially in Scotland, we only really need enough MP's to form an adequate Govt. and opposition front bench. Maybe the current local MP's agents, or similar, could take on the role of looking after constituents grievances.

Hi towny,

I don't know about teachers and other public sector workers but I exaggerate not when I tell you that nurses are very much sought after is all sectors of business and industry. This is primarily because of their managerial skills and their ability to adapt to changing circumstances. I would say these are exactly the qualities that are required to do the job of a MP..I mean its not as if prospective MPs started careers as MP's, most will have come from many different working environments. OK they have probably done a bit of political door knocking en-route but that hardly makes them more qualified than an experienced nurse.

I think it is better to look at the bigger picture on this and how it affects their expenses and the overall package before getting too hyper about it ... unfortunately at the minute the media are deliberately misleading the public with half-stories and elective reporting ... and the public bite every single time.
