Unread post by Onelife »

Good luck with the wisdom tooth extraction tomorrow.....I was going to send you a box of keefy chocolates but unfortunatly l've had quite a rush on them what with all the new members returning......not to worry l'm sending you some 'toffees' instead.....enjoy!

...and don't forget to put your tooth under the bed for the tooth fairy....

I could do with some sympathy too Keefy - I'm going to see the dentist tomorrow to see if he can replace a missing tooth with an implant  (that's not for the pain - it's the cost  )

It must be a week for the dentist, I was there this morning, thankfully just a check up and no treatment needed

Hi Jan,

I was only joking about running out of keefy chocolates but please don't tell Stephen I've said that as the thought of him chomping his way through toffees after having his tooth out brings tears to my eyes....in fact l havn't stopped laughing ever since I sent them  or what

Jan....lets look at the positives...when you've had your tooth replaced you will look even more prettier than you already do in your photo :D

Chin up

Best wishes

Keith

I've told you this once already. I shan't be bothering with the tooth under the pillow Malarkey. I don't want you pitching up in the middle of the night thank you

There is a simples alternative to all this Stephen.

Contract some tumors in the head and between the Cancer, the Radiotherapy and the Chemo, your teeth will calcify and disintegrate saving you a lot of dental bills. It will also ease the pressure on the overworked tooth fairies! :sarcasm:

Hi travel writer

That truly would be unfortunate should any one find themselves having to go/gone through such a traumatic time...I certainly wish them all the best for the future.

Hi Jan
I know what you mean:( In the last year I've been to the dentist so much he keeps telling me about the cruises he's been on and I think I've paid for all of them!!! I am now waiting to get a crown fitted! I have got to ask what next? Forget that I don't think I want to know;) good luck Stephen.......

Hope all goes well tomorrow for Stephen and Jan. I must admit the dentist's is not my favourite place even though we have some lovely, young Spanish ladies who are very pleasant and gentle. I am brave until they get the drill in their hands and even though I have had an injection I am always glad when they have finished drilling. As for having a tooth out, it's 50 years since the last extraction and I'm hanging on to mine for as long as I can but very often the thinking about it is worse than the actual event.
Best wishes to you both and all those who are undertaking treatment at the moment.

Don't go asking him questions like that Jan. You know how he goes at the mere mention of suspenders? At least that's what I heard!!

Certainly is - it's my turn next week. A great way to spend my anniversary

I hope it goes well for you, Stephen. I was terrified when I went for a wisdom tooth extraction but, in the event, there was nothing to it.

I too had a wisdom tooth extracted - piece of cake!

But I was scared witless - when he announced it was necessary, the dentist said 'I know you - if you go home, you won't come back... I've a cancellation after the next appt - I'll bung in the anaesthetic now and I'll do it after the next chap's gone!'

OH had the reminder card a couple of days ago, rang for an appt - and the first one he can get (standard 15mins jobbie) is Aug 18!

Hi maaaan all done with a couple if stitches in and now back home
A little uncomfortable having it done. I must have had the watered down NHS sedative as I didn't feel completely out of it.

Jaw Aches a bit as to be expected. But dosed up on pain killers. Had some nice cold ambrosier custard when I got home, very nice. On a weeks course of antibiotics, which a bit of a shame as you can't drink with them, and to top it all it's our wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Now sitting in front of the TV being waited on by the wife. Not that I'm milking it you understand :tired:
